With a lighter mouse, you can make faster, more immediate movements in-game, which can be a real advantage for playing certain fast-paced titles. Despite looking more fragile than more conventional models, this mouse feels very sturdy.

In terms of gaming performance, it has impressive click latency, and its sensor is very consistent and accurate. It connects wirelessly with its USB receiver or via Bluetooth and has an advertised battery life of up to 80 hours when connected with its USB receiver and up to 180 hours using Bluetooth.  From the looks of it, you'd be getting all the same stuff. This includes the mouse itself, along with the user manuals, a 6 foot USB Type C to USB A charging cable, as well as a USB Type C wireless dongle, and USB Type C adapter. Anyways, right after unboxing all the mice, I looked at the build quality for all of them, and they all have that same matte plastic finish. I noticed that this plastic has that textured matte finish for that added grip all around the mouse

On top of that, all of them are right handed mice, per SteelSeries, but the Aerox 3 can actually be for people who are left handed, after testing it out. However if you're left handed, you wouldn't be able to use the side buttons easily though

 Anyhow, the honeycomb design makes all of them great lightweight gaming mice, and in addition to that they are all rated IP54, meaning they are resistant to any dust or splashes of water, but I wouldn't risk testing that out. The TrueMove Air Sensor that's co-developed with Pixart really performs well and the SteelSeries GG software provides a lot of options for each of these mice to adjust the CPI and acceleration, as well as deceleration or even the polling rate and angle snapping for the mice. But all these things that I've mentioned when using them can all vary for each user since all these mice differ in dimensions and buttons, so it can all come down to what you're planning on using them for, or even the size of your hand may be the difference in which one you get. Therefore, the grip would be a big factor in determining which one to get, and if you're someone who has a palm grip, then the Aerox 5 and 9 are the ones that would be the best out of all of these, since they are much longer in length and wider than the Aerox 3, and your fingers and the bottom part of your palm of your hand will be able to grip the mouse more comfortably

 But as for the Aerox 5 and 9, it can't be used ambidextrously. Anyways, when testing them out, I have to say for the light plastic material they are made out of, the build quality is great. I was expecting some potential creaks and squeaks, but, so that was great. However maybe with time and use it might be different, but all of them are built great out of the box

 I haven't found anything that fits my hand as well as my Redragon Impact M908 with the weights out.

 The exterior of the mouse is matte, so if you have dry hands be prepared for this mouse to hardly have any grip while trying to reach for the awkwardly placed side buttons, especially if you pick the mouse up regularly while gaming because it's actually more ergonomic like the Razer Death Adder and a lot less like Glorious Model-O even thought it looks like it. I'm not sure why these hardware companies seemingly don't test their own products, but the button placement on this mouse is just annoying when it really didn't have to be.  2. The left and right mouse buttons on the top are so sensitive that just lifting the mouse and setting it down triggers them, and if you're turning the mouse to reach side buttons you accidentally press them on accident a lot

  2. I'm getting a full refund.  This mouse doesn't even feel much lighter than the other MMO mice I have. Unless you're a Razer Death Adder or a Naga fan save yourself some time and money and go with something else

This mouse a super confused on what it wants to be. And not in a good way.

 Compared to my Razer Naga Trinity at 120 grams, well, this thing's an absolute featherweight. Even comparing to Razer's newer Naga Pro Wireless, that's 119. So this isn't the absolute lightest despite the cheese crater holes, but it's definitely lightweight compared to its rivals. Features-wise, the main event here has to be the 12 programmable thumb buttons

 You can't see it, it doesn't matter. Well, SteelSeries clearly agrees because this thing will turn off the LEDs whenever you move the mouse. That is obviously a nice, useful thing, but it's also going to increase the battery life too, which SteelSeries quotes as 180 hours for this thing, which I'm not exactly mad at. I should mention, while SteelSeries claims this is an ultra lightweight mouse, it's not quite

  Battery life is good I wish there was a dock of some sort for me to leave it when I'm done with my gaming session rather than plugging it in. The RGB is rgb I don't really fiddle too much with this other than setting color profiles with my gaming profile loadouts.  The corsair program needs a few more updates and integrations to compare to other competitors program for button configuration, but overall serviceable.

So instead of having 12 buttons, you get a more traditional front and back button, as well as a custom built up and down flick switch and what most would generally term as a sniper button

 In its default state and settings on 2.4GHz and 1000Hz polling rate, expect up to about 180 hours of battery life. Which isn't bad per se, but definitely not a staggering 180 hours. It does however support a quick charge, where just 15 minutes of charge will provide over 40 hours of use, so that's really nice

 And in terms of weight, the Aerox 5 Wireless will come in at 74 grams, while the wired Aerox 5 will come in at just 66 grams. A weight class that well, definitely has way more competition. Personally, I'm a fan of the Aerox 5 Wireless and this would be my mouse of choice if I have to pick. I'm more of a FPS and Generic RPG kind of gamer and this is right up my alley

Steelseries Aerox Series Wireless Gaming Mice Review - Aerox 9 Is The Lightest For MMO/MOBA

My current main out of these wireless mice. It's just a good performer all around and the new coating and lighter weight makes it feel much better to use than the original. The lack of USB-C didn't bother me due to the insane battery life.
