 You're going to get your micro USB cord very short but it's going to do the job and you're also going to get a lanyard as well. Alright for the MacroStream we have a high output of 500 lumens, a low output of 50 lumens. Your high output is going to run for two hours. Your low for eight hours

 I'll just show you real quick here it talks about the the voltage and everything but it says stream light where it's located 3.9 volt 350 milliamp hour rechargeable lithium ion. You can see all that but that's all the information that it has there so it doesn't actually say if it's a triple a some of these lights some lights like that will take a triple a or double a you can use not just a rechargeable version but there are and I'm blanking on the number right now it's like 14 650 or something like that batteries but the ones that come with them are good. So for me what I noticed is that you're getting the wider light with the MacroStream because the bezel is wider obviously

 I didn't notice between 250 and 500 like a massive difference to the human eye other than the fact that you know that circle of light is going to be wider with the MacroStream versus the MicroStream. Some people just like a bigger flashlight it's a nice size to fit in your hand this one does feel small which is what some people want some people want something that's going to fill out their hand a little bit more so you know there's a preference thing there and obviously your price point so you have preference price point lumen output color options but both have been both have been good lights. My MicroStream I have built into a Kydex kit with like a Tops Kukri and a Tops Tanabuka Poco. I always forget to say that but that's like a you know when I'm out in the woods and I've got that rig on me now I've got a little light I can always use so I believe in that light absolutely and you'll definitely be seeing this guy more in my EDC setup

I use a streamlight microstream usb and it's a nice size and puts out a good bit of light

My take

 It's the perfect size, not too big, not too small slips in the pocket. I've traveled with it on planes in hotel rooms and just in the office and it comes in handy all the time. It's a great size. It gives you a great output in terms of lumens, great double option to, you know, to have a lower, lower light option, which I actually use all the time

 I absolutely love, love this flashlight. It is fantastic option. It's the perfect size, not too big, not too small slips in the pocket. I've traveled with it on planes in hotel rooms and just in the office and it comes in handy all the time

 This is the USB rechargeable version. I believe the original versions of these were just a single AAA battery but now you have a charging port which is right there and I think that's a micro USB and inside you have a rechargeable battery and I'll go into this a bit more later and you have the ability to, if I can actually thread this, there we go, you have the ability to focus the light by using this kind of telescoping piece right here which really just acts as a housing for the port but also works to focus the light if that's something that you'd want to do. Other features, pocket clip which is removable, really cool, the flashlight has two different modes a high and a low and it works a little bit differently depending on which version you have. So this is the Coyote Brown which I really like, the black version and I think there's one other, basically has inverted mode

 But for a flashlight that costs between 25 and 30 bucks, it's a perfect daily carry option. It's not really something that's going to prevent me from carrying and I still think it's a fantastic light for the amount of time I use it. I'm not going to be charging in a ton. So maybe picking up one or two extra batteries would probably last me for the next 15, 20 years

Cut or Carry:  Streamlight Microstream Review

Been using this for a while now to carry before replacing it as my daily carry with another light, but for the time I was carrying it was great. You can pretty much count on this thing to last for a while battery wise with no issues and be plenty bright for any job. My complaints about this light are the lens being made of plastic as well as the value. For the price I paid for this, I can buy multiple lights that are both brighter and built better

Takes a beating and keeps going

 It does have two settings, a high and a low setting. On the high setting, you've got 250 lumens, which is awesome for a little flashlight like this that you can carry around easily in your pocket. And on the low setting, you've got 50 lumens, which is still okay. Now, when you're running it on the high setting, you've got a runtime of about an hour and a half

 So there's my quarter and you can reference it that way. And then let's go ahead and measure it out. And look at that, less than four inches total. So yeah, it's definitely a compact little flashlight

 So it's super cool and it adds a lot of function to this little light. Now when you click it, you get the high mode. And if you want to get the low mode, you just do a kind of double click and you get the low mode. But one of the things I want to do, let's see what the camera is able to pick up when I turn off all the lights

 And on the low setting, you've got 50 lumens, which is still okay. Now, when you're running it on the high setting, you've got a runtime of about an hour and a half. And then if you opt for the low setting, you've got a runtime of about three and a half hours. The body of the light is machined aluminum

Hi flashlight nerds!  I’m looking for a first flashlight around 30$US \ 40$ CAN for my 6 year old daughter who has retinitis pigmentosa.  She’s beginning to have night vision issues.  Here’s what I’m looking for.

- Bright enough for her but won’t blind others by mistake.  No idea how many lumens I need.
- Can attach to backpack.
- Prefer rechargeable batteries but not a deal breaker.
- Buttons not too stiff nor complex.
- Does not get dangerously hot.
- Why are all of them boring black? Come on!

I ended up ordering a safe bet for a first flashlight :  the oft recommended on this sub Wurkkos FC11.  This should make evening walks more enjoyable for my little girl.</p>

This is a great little light. It is brightness to light up your immediate work area, small enough to clip onto the rim of your cap and fit in my shirt pocket. So far I’m still working on the first charge of the batteries but they seem to be doing good. The only downfall with this I see is the button on the end of the light is really hard to push but not a dealbreaker it also would have been nice to have this adjustable focus beam on it but there again not a dealbreaker thus the four stars

 Since the light charges from that USB port there's no need to really take the light down but if you want to you certainly can. We'll move our tail cap you guys can see the spring and the seal in there we also have the O-ring seal there on the threads and then we have our rechargeable battery this is rated for 300 charges but even after 300 it's rated to give you 70 percent of the output so it will actually take more than 300 charges of course now if you want to actually purchase these separately they are available I think they're like six or seven dollars if you want to get the replacement batteries but it's a non-standard battery so it's not you know like a AAA or anything you can just pick up out there they're extremely specific product specific again they do sell them if you want to pick one up but that's how you take it down that is the battery. If you haven't seen one of these in person I just wanted to do a quick comparison with a few other lights to give you some context in terms of how small they really are they're pretty impressive for what you get in terms of output so of course we have our micro streams then we have the ProTac 2L which I use for the beam comparison outside that's for years was a light that I carried you guys can see it's got some good wear there on the head from me carrying it and this light is relatively small but still these ones are much smaller dramatically so when you actually get them into hand then we have the Polytac X that you guys saw blinding us out there in the garage and then like a Streamlight one-inch light mount here that you're gonna see a one-inch body light rather I should say that you're gonna see most guys were carrying pretty much up until about four or five years ago these size lights they've started to get smaller and now of course we've advanced to the micro stream which again is a good option for a lot of people who either a already carry and want something a little bit lighter or a lot of folks who wouldn't carry a light otherwise now they can do so and it's not so obtrusive that it's really going to be sticking out of your pocket belt whatever the case may be it's just there when you need it and very lightweight the one factor that's always important that I didn't cover so far is going to be price as of right now if you look around these are going to be priced somewhere between like thirty three to fifty dollars depending on the color and where you pick them up so in terms of MSRP I think they come in right around fifty dollars over on Streamlight site but we will put links down below two places you guys can pick these up should you choose to do so at a little bit better price than the MSRP now I think that's pretty good value you guys saw the output there we talked about it being able to take three hundred charges with the standard battery and again that one can even be charged beyond that just performance goes down or you can replace that battery but for a lot of guys it's going to take a long time with the run time that these lights have to need three hundred charges so value wise I think you get a lot there for the money at least from everything I've seen again my black one's been washed four times and dried four times it still runs just fine so the IPX4 rating that it has is probably an understatement if you will but I prefer the Coyote one personally and again I think it just depends what somebody is looking for with their light a lot of people are just looking for basically something that's an improvement over their cell phone right so for that absolutely the low 50 lumen version that comes on here with everything but the Coyote is a dramatic improvement for that and we need that high it's there we need it now if you're looking for a quote-unquote tactical type of application the Coyote one in my opinion is better you don't have to double hit it to get that higher lumen when you need it it just comes on and then it defaults down to low when you need to reduce the output so I think it sort of depends what your application is and what you're looking for as to which model is best for you but I do like the fact they offer the Coyote model now and it is a good option that wasn't there when these first came out so glad to see it for sure if you guys have any questions about the lights you can always post down below in the comment section as always you can also post over at my Facebook page which is generally speaking the best place to get an answer from me should you actually need one and as always guys thanks for watching thanks for subscribing and I hope to see you in the next video.
