This electric deep-fryer made food that was almost always perfect, and in the same time and number of batches as our Dutch oven. Its large basket held lots of food and made it easy to lower and lift that food during use; its high walls and lid contained messes nicely. And while we didn't love cleaning its many parts, a built-in filter and handy oil storage container made the process a bit easier than with other models. One caveat: Like the other fryers, its temperature range maxes out around 374 degrees, so it can't quite fry quick-cooking, high-heat foods such as tempura as nicely as a Dutch oven can.

 I'm sure most of you like me are not overly keen on fried food but we've got a series of fair ground food coming up, so it's going to be a lot of fun and everything in moderation, I'll be expressing this time and time again throughout the series but everything in moderation, some of this fun food that we're going to be making is okay just occasionally. Now to do an unboxing without actually testing it I think is a bit of a shame, so what I'm going to do is fill this thing up with some oil and we'll just fry something off just to give a quick demonstration, so come back in a second. Once the bubbles get a little less violent, a lot of the water has escaped from our french fries now, what I'm going to do is actually just lift them out and I'm going to let them drip dry, it'll also give the oil time to come back up to full temperature, by giving this second fry we're going to get nice crispy french fries. So now my oil is back up to temperature, we're going to drop the fries back in and we're going to cook those until they're lovely golden brown

 Whether T-fal or any other one is find some way to get the unit's underneath your vent to it. The reason for that is when you fried food, there's all kinds of steam and grease. It's going to be released into the air and it's going to get all over the walls. It's going to get all over your cabinets, It's going to get all over the ceiling, and then your wife is going to get all over you if you don't want that

 They've been using it for over a year, so I'm gonna say the TfL has very good reliability. Okay, the best piece of advice I can give anyone for using a fryer at home. Whether T-fal or any other one is find some way to get the unit's underneath your vent to it. The reason for that is when you fried food, there's all kinds of steam and grease

 So I really like the thermostat. The other thing that I like a lot, is the oil filtration feature. You can flip this dial back and forth and the oil in the hopper after you fried food will drain through a filter, filter out all those particles and all that mess, and allow the oil to be captured down in this hopper and be clean and the usable for the next time you want to fry. So I really like the oil filtration feature

 And after a big day like today, that's a good time to go ahead and just change out your oil. Okay for a brief recap today, we've taken a second look at the TfL Easy Clean semi pro fryer. We initially reviewed it over a year ago and I like the unit at that time after a year of pretty heavy usage I Still like the unit I've had no mechanical issues with it so I'm gonna say it's very reliable unit. The things I like about it the most or the adjustable thermostat just put it on whatever temperature you want, don't worry about it

 All right, here's the moment of truth. I think this is pretty well-cooled, and all right, this is the key. You want to make sure before you drain this thing, according to all the reviews and according to my tests with water, that this cap, which goes onto the plastic container that holds the oil, is not on. And it is not

 You thaw like me, we reveal ourselves. [Applause] You in the hopper here. Once you love the machine to cool, what you want to do is take this lever and turn it to the right to the automatic oil of filtration setting. Now the oil is going to drain through the filter, be captured in this oil to storage box

 So using it right here on the countertop, all of that just went right up into the room. If you do that over and over overtime, you're really going to create a mess on your walls. So the method I came up with to mitigate against that is to take a cookie sheet, put the fryer on the cookie sheet, put the fryer on my stuff. Now, by doing this like you fry right here and all the grease and steam go right on my existing vente

 Once you love the machine to cool, what you want to do is take this lever and turn it to the right to the automatic oil of filtration setting. Now the oil is going to drain through the filter, be captured in this oil to storage box. Okay, it's been a good 20 minutes or so. That should be about enough time for our oil to flow down through the filter to filter down

 They turn it over to oil box you can see, [Applause] But all the oil we use for frying is now captured. Clean is stored in the oil storage box. They'll be ready to go for the next time you wanna try some. Now we can remove the lid, remove the heating element, you give that a quick wash in the bottom of the hopper, you can see all the particles that were filtered out for cooking oil

 Today, I'm going to be reviewing the T-fal Ultimate Easy Clean Deep Fryer. Now, the specific model number to this will be in the title of the video. Now, I Love this deep fryer because it has a feature that many of the deep fryers do not and that is an oil filtration system.

 Especially If you have children that are young and don't understand what they're playing with. Last Thing you want is to have a ton of oil all over the floor. They're all locked in place. There's a little window right here to see the oil levels

 Sometimes When I make some homemade creations, there's a lot of breading, and I tell you, it gets all up in the oil and can make a mess. Cleaning is a pain, at least, it was with my old deep fryer, which I replaced with this because of the oil filtration system. I'm happy to report that for about $100 you can get this system. It heats up well
