If you want something with better smart features, check out the TCL 32S327. Its contrast isn't as good as the Vizio D3 Series 2021, so its blacks aren't as deep. However, the built-in Roku TV is an easy-to-use interface with many apps you can download through the app store, but menu navigation doesn't feel the smoothest. Our unit has excellent out-of-the-box accuracy, which is important because you can't calibrate the TV, and it has good reflection handling. You have to ensure you get the S327 variant because it has a 1080p resolution, while the S321 and S325 variants are limited to 720p. This TV doesn't support HDR and has limited extra features, but that's normal for a basic, 32 inch TV.

If you want the best 32 inch 1080p TV, you can't go wrong with the Vizio. If smart features are important to you, then look into the TCL. We tested the 40 inch TCL, but our results are also valid for the S327 model.

If you prefer a better smart platform, look into the TCL 32S327. It has a worse native contrast ratio than the Vizio D3 Series 2021, so blacks don't look as deep in dark rooms. However, the included Roku TV is easier to use, and it has a ton of apps available to download, but it also may feel laggy at times. The S327 variant has a 1080p resolution, and it doesn't have any trouble upscaling lower-resolution content. We expect it to perform like the 40 inch model we tested, but keep in mind there are some 32 inch variants with a 720p resolution instead. It also has excellent out-of-the-box accuracy, which is important because you can't calibrate it. Sadly, it has some uniformity issues with dirty screen effect in the center.

If you want the best 32 inch TV under $300, the Vizio is a great choice, but if you care about smart features, then look into the TCL.

Also, the remote doesn't have a built-in mic, so there isn't a voice assistant feature unless you use your phone and the Roku companion app. As for the picture quality, it doesn't get bright enough to overcome glare, but that's normal for a cheap TV, and if you care about picture quality, it's better to stick with the Samsung model.

If you want a cheap TV or need something small for a bedroom or kitchen with limited space, check out the TCL 32S327. Although it delivers just basic picture quality, it's still a great choice as the best small smart TV because it comes with Roku TV built-in, which is a user-friendly smart platform with a great selection of streaming apps. It means you can watch your favorite content without needing an external streaming device or cable box, so you can easily hook up your TV and start playing content.

The 32S327 variant has a 1080p resolution like the 40-inch model we tested, so if you find the 32-inch size too small, you can get something a bit bigger too. In terms of picture quality, it has excellent pre-calibration accuracy, which is great because you can't calibrate the TV, and images look realistic right out of the box. It doesn't get bright enough to fight a ton of glare, so it's not a good choice for a bright room, but it displays deep, uniform blacks, so it's a good choice for a dark to moderately-lit room.

If you're looking for the best TV under $300, there's a good chance you'll have to look for a smaller TV instead of larger sizes. If you want a small TV for kitchens or bedrooms, then a 32-inch TV like the TCL 32S327 is a good choice for your needs. It's a rather simple TV with a 1080p resolution on the S327 variant, but make sure you get that model and not the S325 model, which has a lower 720p resolution. It's a decent TV for streaming content as it comes with Roku TV built-in, which has a ton of apps available to download, and you won't have to connect external boxes to watch your favorite content.

It doesn't have any trouble upscaling lower-resolution content, which is important if you watch cable TV. The 4 Best 32 Inch TVs - Spring 2022

The list below represents the best TVs in the 32-inch size I've reviewed in CNET's test lab, where I compare them side by side to see which ones are most worth buying. When I take into account things like viewing experience, display, refresh rate, resolution, remote control, smart features, streaming, sound, input lag and connectivity, there are only two I can recommend. So, if you're unquestionably in the market for a small TV, here are a couple of good ones.

For all of those reasons and more (not least of all enjoyability when watching movies and TV episodes, flipping through the channels or streaming on Hulu, Netflix, or Disney Plus) 32-inch TVs are the smallest ones I review -- and there are only two current models with this screen size worth recommending. Just like with 43-inch sets, the next-largest size I review, you won't find the latest extras at this size -- all 32-inch TVs still have HD TV (720-pixel or 1080p) resolution instead of 4K and none have picture-enhancing extras such as full-array local dimming. Instead, I prize smart TV features like built-in streaming apps and access to YouTube.

 Not an option she said. She tried for about 15 minutes to get the phone Roku app working and finally gave up, but switched us to a Roku tech support person. After another 15 minutes of trying with no success he had us reboot the wireless modem and voila, that worked. Now we could control the TV by voice and rapidly get to the lower broadcast channels

  I read online that one could do voice control from the Roku app on a cellphone. My son showed up after work and we tried many times to get the Roku app to work. It would not connect to the phone. Finally, I called TCL support in search of a replacement remote that had a number pad

 There are no numbers or keypad on the measly remote. Changing numbers **one at a time** up and down from a thousand channels is total torture. And worse yet, there is no voice option on the cheesy remote. I was ready to send this tv packing back to Amazon
