I know you can’t get rid of pores but I’m wondering is there anyway to make them smaller? I use La Roche Posay products. They keep my acne mostly at bay but I feel like my pores are just so large. Part of it is genetic, but just wondering if there’s anything else I can do at home to help. Thanks!

The Inkey List’s Oat Cleansing Balm 5/5:. This is not a very stable balm and more often than not comes out an oil when it’s above 70°F where I live.

[REVIEW] I’ve tried a number of first-step cleansers and thought I’d review them for you guys!

I prefer to use this as a face mask before showering and it has a really nice feel; it does not affect my skin chemistry if I use it as a mask. I think it’s more effective as a mask overall. 

I think this works just fine. It does cleanse my skin and remove my make-up. This is something you can use in the shower as a first cleansing step without issue, however, I have another cleansing balm I prefer to use and I find this doesn’t live up. I have acne prone skin, and do find that this adds a little bit of oil to my

Worth the hype. I use Inky List oat balm and Cera Ve hydrating cleanser. Switching to more gentle cleansers, rather that harsh ones I used to use trying to clear my acne, have really helped too.

I have been trying to eliminate essential oils from my routine, so recently I switched my balm cleanser (Evolve gentle cleansing melt) to the Oat Cleansing Balm from the Inkey list. All I ever read were rave reviews and how great it is for sensitive skin etc. I was really excited about it since it seemed to check all the boxes. HOWEVER, when I tried it I immediately felt how the concistensy felt thick and gloopy and worst of all, SCRATCHY!!

Okay so I use this product as my first cleanse in a double cleanse and it’s good- not amazing and not horrible just good. The texture is weird to me, but only satisfying in a way. It doesn’t emulsify as much as I want it too. The price tho-*chefs kiss*!! If you want an affordable balm this is the one! Also my skin feels softer after using it! It’s definitely “mid”!!

I recently purchased the Elf acne fighting putty primer and this product was not the jam for my skin. I saw quite a few influencers and reviews claiming to be great so finally picked it up. Both times I've used it, I've had an awful acne breakout on my neck. I do have acne prone skin  but this took it to the next level. 

It's unfortunate because I do like how this product makes my makeup look but I'm still struggling from a breakout from this from last week. 

I'm still on the hunt for a great everyday primer from the drugstore. If you have any recommendations please share!

Products NOT worth the hype

The product is very affordable and gentle on the skin however I found that although it was labeled as a make up remover it didn’t do this very well if you’re looking for a remover definitely try the versed cleansing balm  over this. It’s a very gentle and affordable cleanser but it didn’t give me any differences that I was looking for

Use a salicylic acid (BHA) cleanser like the Inkey List or Cerave one. A clay mask wouldn’t hurt either and the ordinary makes a great BHA + clay mask product

[skin concerns] help with blackheads and sebaceous filaments

 My double cleanser usually gets off anything left behind by this. Also when I press the tube to get product out, I feel like the oil has separated from what is supposed to be a gel like consistency.

It's good but confusing...
