 The hood is pretty fitted, which can be good, but I’m not crazy about the zipper that rubs against my neck when the hood’s not up (and the collar/hood edge doesn’t lie flat/nicely). And the people who mentioned that it leaks feathers ARE RIGHT!!!! I do not have this happen ever with my older same brand jacket but this material is thinner and softer and yes, lots of feathers pop out of it constantly!!! Hope they fix this for next year..

Warm, but flawed

 It’s very thin and not warm at all. I returned this coat as soon as I received it. I have several north face coats and this was the least attractive And thinnest coat I have purchased. I do not feel like this coat would have kept me warm or ready for the cold weather

 It’s fine at my arms and good length in the hood. I’m a little torn, because I’ve never had to buy an XXL in a jacket before, but maybe it would give me the room since I prefer looser jackets. For now I’ll stick with the XL, but I might get another size in the future. It’s very warm and stylish, and overall I would recommend it

I only own one other North Face jacket, and that’s the Denali. I absolutely love it, but I know I need a second jacket that’s not fleece and a bit heavier during the winter. I’m 5’9, 170 and I typically wear an XL in all jackets - the Denali is even a bit loose on me in that size, but very comfortable. I don’t know if this just cut differently, but with an XL it feels more fitted in my waist, and feels okay against my chest

 For now I’ll stick with the XL, but I might get another size in the future. It’s very warm and stylish, and overall I would recommend it. But due to sizing issues, I would recommend trying on in stores first before you buy it online.

More fitted than expected, but very warm!

Love that this coat is super lightweight and yet very warm. It is very compact and you can pack it up into a small bag. I found it surprisingly warm in temperatures as low as the high 30s. Lower than that with a colder wind chill, I was too cold in this jacket alone when worn in Colorado last weekend while it was snowing

 The overall look of the check it is nice, whether it’s zipped up or open, and not too bulky looking at all For a down jacket. Not sure if I’m going to keep it because of the price and not warm enough on its own for a ski trip. Please click the helpful button if this helped you at all :)

Surprisingly warm for temperatures in the high 30s and above

This jacket fits well and is stylish HOWEVER it is NOT a city jacket in a city where winter is usually at -15 Celcius and colder. Unfortunately the description does say it is the warmest but has no temperature rating and does not mention which type of use. I purchased last winter for daily city use, and even with layering(which is hard to do bc it's a fitted style), I FROZE (each day that was -15 Celsius or colder). Don't know if it is warm enough for winter sports either, even with creating/body heat

 It color looks more like laser Ed or an amber. Keep oil away from jacket. Looks like one of those materials that will absorb oil very well.
