 Unless you get a card that lets you draw a few more, but for the most part you only have four cards that you can play and if you have a really big deck, you may not get the cards you need when you need them. You just be drawing cards and discarding cards, drawing cards and discarded cards, so you really have to be efficient with which cards you get so that you draw them at the right time as we started playing you know, you hear the rules and it's like okay start Here end here and you're like okay, i know what i need to do, but i'm going to try and see if i can do it my own way. So that's why i started trying to collect the really cool cards in the beginning and then juliana, just bee-lined right towards and just sprinted there, and i was like i'll catch up to her and i didn't depending on which strategy you take. It could be good or bad, depending on the deck that you have, because you can just go right for it, but then, if you don't have the cards that allow you to go to the like the three machete space or the two paddle space later on, you May be stuck just drawing cards or trying to get there adversely if you're, just drawing cards at the beginning and you're far way behind you may not be able to catch up like lee thought he was going to be able to do because again, you only have Four cards on your turn, so even if you have a huge deck, it still may not work out for you, our gameplay just parallels the the story of the tortoise and the hair, and i just yeah

 Oh, it's kind of a race, and you kind of feel like that that 90s, ah yeah here we go here. We go kind of feel and i really did start to enjoy the theming and everything about it. Even though, when i first looked at it, i didn't like it as i was playing and i got into it everything kind of came together so overall you know i didn't. I went in not thinking i'd

 The first thing that caught my eye was the age range only 10 to 99 are allowed to play so if you're 100 nope not allowed. Also, though, you know just judging a book by its cover right, you know i'm looking at this and i'm seeing okay looks kind of legends of the hidden temple, maybe some jumanji indiana jones, uh theming, so i was like. Ah, all right seems a little bit dated so we'll see, and then you look at the artwork on the cards. It looks very adventure, novelish kind of simple, like lee, said a little dated and not really attention grabbing

Great game with a really fun theme! Deeper strategy than I initially thought it would be, but I still really like it! Love that it kind of "puts you in a different place" like you really are an explorer trying to make your way through the jungle to this lost temple. Great quality components, beautiful table presence, fun and immersive explorative theme! Does take a good little while to play and there is possibility for a bit of analysis paralysis causing this game to go a bit longer (which makes it not one of my most frequently played games even though I do LOVE it) - just does take pretty much in depth deep thinking/planning. Good exercise for the brain every once in a while and again a really cool theme to do so with! EXCELLENT value for the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was actually SUPER SURPRISED at this really high-quality game I ended up actually receiving to realize that WOW! I only paid around $20 - I think it was like $22 or something when I bought it? - for this thing!!!!!! REALLY cool how these components definitely match up to and are NO LESS THAN those of the better known and high quality much more expensive games!

 Ease of learning and replayability for this game for me is high. Its also a pretty jungle theme, the cards are cute and small, watch the road to Eldorado while you play the game to fully submerge yourself in the theme!!

The Quest for El Dorado is a great game for 2-4 players that involves racing across a treacherous terrain to reach the mythical City of Gold before any of your opponents. While the the game is easy to learn and can be taught even to players that don't normally play tabletop games, it still has a lot of depth as players plan their way through the jungle. The game very seamlessly incorporates the deck building elements without it becoming bloated and time consuming. By having the card market a side portion of the game, players can buy cards to spice up their deck if they have extra gold, but they aren't forced to buy every turn

Great game to play with any group!

 There are rules in the rulebook for doing this. I think if you liked the original and are looking for a little bit more variety for the original or a different taste with this game, then this should be a no brainer.

This game is so fun. Its mostly a strategy game, involving deck-building, and using your deck to move through the jungle (game board). The game board is actually like 8 different pieces that you can rearrange, creating endless paths through the jungle, so you can have a different experience each time if you want. It's fun with 2, 3, or 4 people
