We bought this for my daughter mainly to take to daycare but we use it on trips, hiking, and in the car when running errands and it has worked great for all those purposes.  Our 3-year-old is not the gentlest when it comes to using anything really but the THERMOS FUNTAINER is pretty tough. it's been dropped from counter height and above and hasn't completely exploded in our house. The clicking latch is really secure and the plastic straw is easy enough to take out and clean, and for my daughter to use without issue

 Doesn't leak when the lid is closed. There is an air hole to allow the liquid to flow up the straw when drinking. And if it is turned upside down opened liquid will dip out. But when lid is closed it does not leak

Everything is great, but the handle

I bought two of these for my boys. These did well for the first couple of weeks, and then they both started leaking! We really liked them at first because they kept their drinks nice and cold. I thought at first maybe they just didn't I get the lid snapped down well, but it's happened multiple days even after my husband made sure it was latched. They would be okay if you kept them up right all the time
