 We've handed about maybe a month now and she loves it. I Love it. The chef's alarm from thermal and as Columbo used to say, just one more thing sir, it comes with this neat little carrying case. The probe folds up, just wipe it off, clean it off, rinse it off whatever you need to do depending on what you were cooking and what you can wash it with dish soap and water

 Love this thermometer, but we had to have a solution so we got two chef's along now I like yellow but my wife want our the goldish yellow color but the wife wanted red matches some other appliances in our kitchen so we got the chef's alarm. Y'all all right I want to show you this chef's alarm this thing is really really cool all right. and I've used it for smoking meat, some ugly drums smoker did that last week and I tell you what over the week before last actually and I tell you what I really like this thing. it's a reads the temperature well and it folds up so it'll sit on the counter like that

Probe Thermometer Recommendations?

BUTTONS ARE FALLING OFF.

 It has the highest maximum temperature of all the models we tested going up to 572 degrees Fahrenheit, so it's useful both in the oven and on the grill. maybe. Best of all, it's programmable so even if you forget about the food, your thermometer won't the chef alarm will beep when the food is hit whatever internal temperature you set, so you just put the probe into the meat and then snake the wire out the oven door or grill lid and walk away. It even has a second probe sold separately that you can clip right onto the oven rack, so it works as an oven thermometer that you can read without peering through the window or opening the door

 We use this all the time, especially when we're deep frying, making candy or roasting or grilling meat. And as you can see, this is a digital thermometer with a probe. You can put the probe right into the meat in the oven and leave it there while the monitor sits on the counter. You don't even need to open the oven door, no more sticking your arm in the hot oven or letting all the heat escape while you check the temperature

I even used it once in light rain (I did put a small zip bag over the transmitter, but the rain didn't seem to affect it). I only had 1 instance where the units lost signal for a few seconds, but they re-connected automatically within seconds and it has never happened again

 Again, nothing is straight forward.  So far so good though, but durability is the next test.

 I use these type of probes when making yogurt as well, so I need to be able to monitor a temperature range of milk before adding the bacteria starter. I purchased this in June 2021. It worked great or awhile then the grill temp probe quit working. That really wasn't an issue or me. Then in mid-April 2022 the meat probe quit

CUSTOMER SERVICE

 Sat inside and made adjustments as needed. Also good for reverse sear method of grilling steaks. Beeping for key presses is annoying, wish I could disable that- my dog hates it!
