I found this sub a couple years ago, and got my first light (Thrunite TC15). it was just something I could use for night fishing that would last a while and I could recharge batteries instead of replacing them. i managed to hold off for a year. and then I needed a headlamp cause the AAA ones I had died in less than a night.

Inside the tailcap is a spring on the negative side and a metal contact on the head side to make battery contact. The TC15 V3 upgrades the charging from micro usb to USB C, which is a great improvement. The rubber charging port is located on the side of the light which fits securely in place. On the V2, the rubber part of the charging port went around the whole light, but the V3 uses a typical charging port.

The build quality and efficiency is excellent though. They can maintain a brightness of around 500 lumens, although I am not sure if that applies to the strobe modes. If you're willing to increase in size a bit, the [Thrunite might be a good option.

Didn't think I'd use or love this thing as much as I do. I even tried the FC11 in 4000k for highest CRI and in the end, gave that away as well. That thing just doesn't want to throw. I much prefer the TC15 over it!.

Thrunite makes some solid models. The TC15 is a good 18650 light. Small enough to carry around in your pocket all day. Good for lighting up a dark tool room or looking around under a machine or something.
