 So I was thinking that when I got this so I was like we would have had this sort of been way more easier process. this thing would have been going this we're gonna hit this on like her keys or whatever and then we would have found the phone way easier. So definitely there's just a little story of like if you're a forgetful person you forget stuff sometimes this would definitely help you out. So with the ease of use of this and how small is and you can just stick it on stuff you could just put it on the back of your keys you know in your car like that? no problem

 so I like that for the size and the convenient pretty good. These are also a waterproof so you won't have to worry about that like if you put it on your bike and stuff. I think even in the trailers they show that you can put it on your bike round the pictures that scene so they are waterproof, you won't have to worry about it at all for the range of these tile stickers is 150 feet. so when you have on your phone your phone app will actually to always use location I'm a person where I just like to use app and only use location when I'm using the app but it does actually tell you to always have location on for this tile I don't think I'm personally gonna do that even though if that's how it should be used because it needs to know where it's at all the time because when you leave that hundred and fifty feet it will remember the last place this tile was because you can look at it on the map and I'll show you so I also did that when I went to work I left that on and I went all the way to work in and I left it on and it shows where it last was and I was like I think that our way from my house

 But like I said, if you're pinning this on something important I think the premium will be worth it if it was like your keys. if you're someone that loses your stuff a lot and you always leave stuff behind I definitely think it's worth having that premium services. When you walk away your phone will go off and saying hey you left me behind and the time will alert you and you'll you know like ah that's those keys So yeah that's only a premium service thing. Definitely worth the buy if you are someone that you know loses your things are leaves your things behind out-and-about Definitely worth it

These are fine, but one was dead out of the box

I have a few Pi Zeros dotted about, and also a stash of ESP32s that I could use. Home Assistant running on a Pi 4, and a desire to track phones and tablets (as much for lost devices as for tracking people) and also the dog (he has a BT enabled collar).

So what do people have? How have you set it up? What do you use it for?

Great idea, but poorly made

Great idea, mediocre implementation.

 I thought these Tiles had a range of 300ft, however, in my experienced the range of the Tiles we received were terrible.  For example, standing on one side of my 6 foot privacy fence I can see thru to my cat on my neighbor's side, just 10 feet away (straight line), but my phone can't find or link to her Tile until she climbs the fence and moves to within 4 feet (straight line) from my phone.  PRACTICAL I would only rate it 2-3 stars because in order to use it backwards (to find my phone using the tile), the Tile App has to be on. Also, although it’s a neat idea/option to use Alexa on my living room Echo to find my remote control with a tile on it, I first have to get my phone out and turn on the App

 Stupid- I might as well just use the phone!  Overall, in my practical real world experience the units we received were not reliable and only have a range of a mere 4-5 feet. I'd suggest to others that they instead consider a larger Tile or another company's product because I don't trust these small Tiles.

Not satisfied, find something else

 App can't even say, hey, we haven't seen this guy in a while, maybe make sure its operating.  So yeah, I recommend skipping the non-replaceable battery ones unless you really only need it for a little while. Go for the pro, or another brand.

Battery Life is absolutely not 3 years; half that.  And it won't tell you your batteries are dying.
