We are new to board games but PARKS appealed to me as we both love wild camping and hiking, also the art work looks amazing. 

Would this be a good gift or should I consider other options. I have been considering Wings and Fungi also.

The only board game we have played together is Zombicide

However I wanted to choose a game which linked to his interests as I thought this would be more thoughtful (outdoors, physics (degree in nanoscience!) space, foraging, LOTR, boxing). </p>

<p>The only board game we have played together is Zombicide which we enjoyed. I have HIVE and sushi go. Have yet to play much of either but I liked sushi go. </p>

<p>We mostly spend time together as just the two of us so a two player game is important. But this will be a Christmas gift so I suspect we may play with family on first use!</p>

Thoughts on PARKS as a two player game

I got this game so my husband and I could have a 2-player game we could play together. I have only played this game 2-player, and it was funny and it does get a little competitive. The instructions for the game are extremely detailed and include a lot of examples with pictures so you know you are playing the game correctly, which we really appreciated. The game isn’t addicting by any means, but it definitely was fun to play with my husband

freaking awesome and freaking beautiful

best with 4 people

This was a gift for my adult daughter. Four of us played it, and it was fairly easy to learn using the instruction booklet. It is definitely not a cut-throat competition. Creativity went into the design of this game, and it was fun to play

Can see how repeated plays will be even more enjoyable
