Tom Bihn Synapse 25 Travel Backpack Review | Pack Hacker
At the time of this review, we’ve been testing the Tom Bihn Synapse 25 for about three weeks, including a weekend train trip to Chicago. We’ve also chatted with our friend, Winston, who has been using the 19-liter version of this pack in black for over six month

That being said, the synapse 25 compares really well to all those bags and, if you're looking for a versatile and durable option, that's gon na offer plenty of space and an awesome organizational layout.

I got the Tom Bihn Synapse 25 guide edition specifically for hiking as well as using as a day bag to carry my laptop. I think it's perfect but if you need more space then the 30L you're thinking about should work, although that's a big pack.
WTB Tom Bihn Synapse 25 with the new strap design and in a dark color, preferably black. I would also purchase the laptop cache and frame sheet. Shipping to Israel
I'm using a ton bihn synapse 25 as a diaper bag. I find it's got a good amount of space without looking like a huge bag, and the organization is helpful for me to compartmentalize the baby stuff I need to carry. No side water bottle pocket, but it has one down the middle that closes with a zip
I’d recommend checking out Tom Bihn bags. I used to use a GoRock Echo, but I’ve since switched to the Tom Bihn Synapse 25. If I were buying a bag today, I’d probably get the Tom Bihn Synik 22 (basically an updated version of the Synapse).
Warranty policy is good, build quality is awesome.
The Tom Bihn Synapse 25 with optional laptop cache is a good consideration. The cache will make sure the laptop hangs above the bottom of the bag.
The TB central water bottle pocket is among the very best, I can almost squeeze a 40 oz HF in there, it just barely doesn’t zip up. A normal Nalgene si...
First, congratulations! I just had my first 2 weeks ago so a little different than your needs with a couple of toddlers. I have a CHZ22 that I love, but opted to get a Synapse 25 off of eBay to have a little more organization. The bottom pocket holds all the diaper stuff, a blanket and change of clo...
I have alway used a single bag, normally carry-on. My lightbulb moment was a recognition that others didn't do this. I was going on a multi-week service trip in 1996 and was asked to have an extra max-size checkthrough to transport project supplies. No problem. Several of the people weren't able to ...
