 Let'S check inside thoughts, there's no zipper holding the contents in you. Just have the strap here and you flap that over and nothing's going to come out so take a look inside by pillow and inside you can see. We'Ve got the same. Exterior color wrote the back

 The fluo yellow internal section, which makes it a lot easier to see everything, that's inside your bag and we've got the laptop fits right at the back. It'S a chuckle up top in this is a 13 inch laptop, but I believe it will hold greater than that. As well so that fits in there quite easily, with quite a bit of space to spare and also on that laptop section. We'Ve got another zip section here: that's about yay big you can put in there like pens and pencils, calculators, other cool stuff and, let's check out to see sort of you know how much you can fit in one of these bags

The Topo Designs Rover Pack Backpack

Beautiful, but an awkward let down.

 The design is on point, but for small bag there's a couple of things. Come on in topo. let's let's talk about this thing. First of all, we need some organization somewhere

 What? I Want to carry something like this? I Want to carry it every day I Want it to look good and when I I want to know my stuff days I Want all my stuff too thick? you know I don't want unnecessary things like cinch straps I'm dead. You don't necessarily need on the twenty liter backpack. You want a nice carry handle you venting one of that. you want nicer wider strap on backpack straps I Know this is a popular bag but for me it's It's a pass so this will be going back

 look for those inside this main compartment which is you know it. It's not fully line with the hive is so when you look at it, then you get this the green fabric and it's it. can be hard to see in there. So now I'm looking for those pouches they sell for like $15 a piece in this large space

Topo Designs Rover Pack Coming Up Short Of Being A Good Everyday Carry (EDC) Backpack

The straps are padded for roaming around town, but wouldn't take for a long day hike.    The compression straps are fine, but not really needed with the straps to close the top lid and the compression in the water bottle holders.

The laptop sleeve holds a surface laptop with room to spare, but it goes to the bottom of the bag so be careful if setting down your bag hard.  There is not much padding on the bottom to protect it.  There are 3 main pockets with the large drawstring open main storage, zippered front pocket, and zippered lid pocket.  Ample space for a 20L bag

Good Pack, just not for me

 We have a ridge back back panel here, so the ridge back back panel has a nice foam padding in there, but it's also obviously ridge and that provides better airflow along the back panel trying to prevent that sweaty back that you often get when carrying heavy loads Or when carrying for a very long time for the shoulder straps, we have fairly straight cut shoulder straps. They do curve and taper closer to the end there, and it is padded underneath. So you can see this big air mesh wicking there that'll wick away any moisture and also prevent your back and your shoulders from getting sweaty and like on a lot of topo designs. Backpacks

 These are actually toppo designs, packed fast travel bag attachment loops. So if you're going traveling with this bag and with the topo designs travel bag, you can carry the travel bag and then you can attach on the rubber pack tech onto that bag. Just to streamline your carry it's a very small little system that toppo designs have implemented in their bags, just to streamline your carry and then also at the top of the bag. We have a very simple nylon: grab handle okay, so taking a look at the compartments of the bag, we've got a number of different compartments, zippered, compartments and pockets

 You could tie on a pair of climbing shoes if you just want them hanging on the outside of the bag. You can do a number of things with this little daisy chain strip here and then here we have a chunky, number 10 ykk coated zipper. You can see on the ends of the zipper path. We actually have these counter pulls here

 Now i haven't stored a laptop inside this compartment we'll get into why in a second. But if you do carry two laptops with you, perhaps it's your profession you're, a software engineer whatever it is. You can store your laptop in here, but the main reason why i haven't stored a laptop in there is because, with the rover pack tech, there is actually a dedicated laptop sleeve, that's accessible on the side. An Awesome Daily Driver Backpack - The Topo Designs Rover Pack Tech

Cute casual carrier, not a technical pack

 I Guess you get a little bit of airflow going horizontally there and then there is a dedicated laptop compartment so that's primarily I Guess where the tech comes from, you can throw your tech right in here. There's a little bit more padding and love that just fluorescent interior here so you can see what's going on in the inside. No false bottom on the laptop compartment so it goes all the way to the bottom. I wish they had that, you know? I've definitely hasn't been testing this I have been using my laptop inside of a case and then inside of here just for that added protection

 You know on the ordinary Rover packs that have this, this is where you'd throw your laptop, but on the tech version, you know that dedicated space. So I like I like that option on this one and I chose to test this one. Our managing editor gave me an option to pick any one I wanted and I did choose the the tech version to test and I've thoroughly been enjoying it so let me have another pocket here at the top. kind of a little flap for keys

 They didn't do that here which is totally fine, but just a little bit of a note. you know, toggle kind of up here and at the top and the bottom a little kind of like nylon pull tabs if you want to attach things. Don't entirely understand the positioning here, so if you know exactly what that's for, let us know in the comments below the straps themselves. they're got some mesh on the backside, pretty padded, pretty comfortable, especially for a bag of this size

Topo Designs Rover Pack Tech Review (2 Weeks of Use)

It is light weight and airline compliant (once you are ready to fly again) which will be nice a sa carry on pack. Although it hasn't rained at all the past 2 weeks this pack is water repellent (I did spray the pack with a spray bottle just to see). I can dee this being a nice durable pack to be kept in the pack rotation for a long time to come because its nylon design it will do well in almost any terrain from concrete/asphalt urban spaces to some rocky scrambles on a short hike up to a local peak.

Zippers, we've all had zipper issues, but not with this pack. The pocket for the brain and back accessory pocket have large zippers, which decreases the potential for snags in the zipper itself, which in turn decreases any stress levels when looking for that pen or snack because you know that it is going to unzip.

Topo Rover Classic from casual to day hiking

 In the front, you have a zippered compartment and then on the top flap, another zippered compartment with a key clip. There are two expandable water bottle pockets on the side, as well as compression straps on the interior. There's a great double clip closure as well as a cinch. Can fit a lot of different gear on the inside of the bag and there also is a laptop sleeve where you can slide in most 15-inch laptops

I did find a couple of things that could use some improvement. The straps are not my favorite. They feel cheaper in construction that the rest of the pack. I don't find them overly comfortable

 I prefer laptop pockets to end above the bottom of the pack so that when I set down the pack, my laptop does not rest on the ground.
