 The downside of this bike is the RockShox lockout. I love the option and function, but the execution by RockShox is just ok. And as for the Bontrager dropper, well, PNW had and will be a better option for me. I was in the shop for a couple turns with the Bontrager and it may be the most challenged component on the bike

I waited quite a while to take the plunge on a full-suspension (my wallet waited, really) and this bike does not disappoint. I had previously looked at the Fuel Ex line, but Top Fuel came into view with the changes in both bikes' design. I'm the kind of rider who would rather make it home fast and in one piece vs. boosting my ego catching air

 I am 5'10, 173lbs, inseam is 30" but I have a long neck The next thing was to remove the dropper post, I have not been in a situation where I would need to lower it on this type of bike, Installed a Thompson Elite and lost 608 gms (1.4lbs). Weight reduction is always an advantage. This bike is fast and corners so well, so well that I am beating my PR's on Strava and some of the top 10 on my local trails

I bought the Top Fuel (med) bike a couple of days before Christmas to replace my aging 100SL elite (2 groupo's, 3 set of wheels and two shocks) that is still well loved. I went with the Shimano build over the SRAM because of familiarity with the operation and feel of XT. After riding Top Fuel "as" is for about 300 miles I started to experiment. I cut the handle bar down and swapped the stem for a 70mm " Perfect" for me

 Look, we are not crushing big chunky trails around here. Big shout out to the crew at North Country Cycle Sports in Boyne City for working with me on the Project One custom look, shock upgrade, and dropper upgrade to Fox Transfer. Everything works great, and I like the lockout feature for riding between trails.

I ride in northern Michigan, with trips to Marquette and Copper Harbor in the UP. This bike is a perfect all around trail bike for these areas - goes great on the way up, and has plenty of travel for the way down. Look, we are not crushing big chunky trails around here.
