Tribest Greenstar GS-1000 Juice Extractor Review

 I heard so many criticisms on the cleaning, but it is not that bad if you have a little tub of soapy water set aside and put the parts in right away. Also, I can tell that once I get the hang of it, assembly/parts are not that bad. The juice is yummy but a little foamy, although I don't care. I was a bit concerned that the remains that come out are still pretty moist

 It is superior to my grass juicer and far superior to the Champion.  The Green Star was extremely impressive on cucumbers. Both my Champion and grass juicer backup very quickly, becoming unusable, and spitting out very wet pulp. Cucumbers had to be quartered lengthwise like the other juicers but pushed through easily and juiced with very little foam and produced very dry, finely ground pulp out the discharge

 They require the warranty to be received within 10 days of purchase, so if you purchase it online, you should use it and register it right away. You can register it online at their website.  I almost exclusively juice only four things (carrots, red bell peppers, cucumbers, and lettuce), so I'll describe those that matter to me first.  I get 2 1/4 cups of juice from 2 lbs of carrots, which is definitely better than my Champion

The Green Star does an outstanding job on these juices which I make all the time, but I have found it to be significantly worse than my other juicers on other fruits and vegetables.  The juice is very high quality (as good as your carrots). The square chute is big enough for all but monster carrots. My only complaint is that carrots especially take a lot of downward force to push through the juicer. I don't really mind, but it could be a show stopper for some people

Fabulous Juice--Hopefully Worth the Wait

Take your time

 ;) - Adding some lemon or lime can help with flavor, as well as with preservation of the juice if you are planning to store it for a bit before drinking. Also, juice the peel - this is where some of the nutrients are! (After washing it, of course). - Start gradually with beets - they are a wonderful liver de-toxer, but you may not want to detox too much, too fast.  Now, let's talk about clean-up

 It helps for me to start with a clean kitchen and clean sink, so that after juicing I can just disassemble the juicer and rinse all the parts immediately under warm water in the empty sink, letting the pulp go down the garbage disposal. (I do, however, try to brush the majority of the pulp off first into the pulp container that I used during juicing, simply because I have my doubts on whether I should be rinsing so much pulp down my disposal). Then I use a simple kitchen brush to scrub the nooks and crevices of the parts while rinsing them under the water. Lastly, I return to the juicer and wipe it down around the area where the gears attach to the base / motor, because there will be a small amount of pulp left behind

 Repeat.) - Leafy greens will have a tendency to produce foam, so either alternate your leafy greens with other things (see above), or if juicing only leafy greens (such as wheat grass), drip a few drops of flaxseed oil into the feed chute first to coat the gears (this helps reduce the space between the gears when juicing something narrow like grass or leaves, and thus helps cut down some on the foaming) - Feed your produce in slowly. There is a reason the feeding chute isn't bigger than it is. So don't overload the machine in your excitement to drink your beautiful juice

 - Start gradually with beets - they are a wonderful liver de-toxer, but you may not want to detox too much, too fast.  Now, let's talk about clean-up.  At first, I felt like there were a lot of parts to clean up after juicing, and I was afraid this would be a deterrent. But quite frankly, the quality of the juice is worth it! I do not mind the prep (washing and cutting the fruit/vegetables into manageable sizes that will fit into the juicer's feeding chute) or the clean-up involved - ANY MORE - but it did take me some time to find a system or rhythm to it all, one that works efficiently for me

 And the GS produces pulp so much dryer than a centrifugal; it becomes clear that you waste both nutrition and money with centrifugals. Now, when you decide to add juice to your life, you drink at least eight ounces of green every day, twice as much if you are in training or even more if you are reversing a chronic disease. So add up the savings. Soon the cost of this juicer becomes a pittance compared to the money you save on greens

 Wake up and "smell the coffee" Start with a GreenStar and start to experience genuine health results. (Of course you have to eliminate all other foods other than fruits, vegetables and some nuts and seeds. But juicing is a terrific way to get the best vitamins, minerals and amino acids into your body from green leaves without having to waste your time chewing and trying to digest the tough plant fibers. You just can't do it unless you spend your whole day chewing the one to two pounds that you really should get

 To sum up, get the GreenStar if you are serious about juicing. All others can continue to fool around and just buy another gadget that will collect space in their cabinet, but they can say that they "juiced".. or did they?

I want to make one thing perfectly clear: The main ingredient that you want to juice in the first place is GREENS. Dark green leaves. To get the benefit of juicing you must consume the bulk of your vegetable matter from dark greens like kale, spinach and collards

Stop Fooling Around With Centrifugals

 I owned Solostar, a single gear juicer from Tribest for many years. It is when I became a more regular user that it began to fall apart; mostly the juicing screen, and later on, I found the cheap plastic augur housing kept cracking as well. As soon as I tried to make warrantee claims; it appears the whole thing must be my fault, at least from the Tribest's perspective; either I'm using it too much (every other day yielding 1 ½ cup of juice), misusing it somehow, or time to buy their higher end Green Star juicer. The new screens they sent me would crack, sometimes after single use; I could detect the hairline cracks along the pressure points that would only get bigger with a few more use

Best Juicer That I Have Owned - Carrot Juice to Wheat Grass

 I made 36 ounces of it in the GS-1000 and actually enjoyed every drop! The juice was not pulpy, but seems more full-bodied and flavorful than the juice I used to get from my Breville. You can really taste the ingredients! Assembly/disassembly was a little more complicated than the Breville, but not rocket science, and cleaning was a little more involved but not too difficult or time consuming. I know this is a game changer for me in accomplishing my juicing program goals and keeping it up going into the future. This is a quiet little powerhouse and I love it!

Love it so much I want to marry it...
