Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight

They want something that's a little bit more up market. They want a gold, you know, sports watch which typically are very expensive and where this one...

Now for my money, if you're buying a black Bay 58, you really have to get it on the steel rivet style bracelet.

Huge fan of this one!. Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight: ugh...I love this watch and everything about it. Aluminum bezel, good modest size, amazing colors, and yet...sometimes I do think about selling it. Not sure why.

This is my new Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight! This was college graduation gift from my parents and I absolutely love it!. This is the second automatic watch in my collection, the other being a Hamilton Khaki Field watch, so it is a relatively big step for me. I was a little worried that the 39 mm diameter might be a little small, especially considering I have a bigger wrist, but I actually think the size is perfect.

It has been exceedingly rare in Montreal; my regular AD even told me point blank to forget it - and my family has been their patron for 25 years and have bought many things from them, including watches and jewellery. Nonetheless, I thought with the funds from the sale of my two Tudor in my pocket, the BB58 would be now or never, otherwise I would then put the funds to other uses (e.g. I have a motorcycle also). I took a chance and called the sales lady at another AD (I bought my OP39 from her).

What I've landed on now is a Tudor Black Bay; the one that looks like the 58, but is 41mm, as my wrist is pretty big. I really like this watch.

I wish the stripe was more red to match the triangle on the bezel, but it works when you’re not looking too closely. Luckily it’s comfortable and seems to be extremely durable. I still think this is my most versatile watch.

Only a month a ago I saw a brand new Tudor Blackbay Fifty Eight with dust and hair on the dial, and Tudor QC is up there with the very best. It does happen occasionally to any brand. Obviously, this is not acceptable though and the watch deserves to be returned.

I plan on picking up a brown leather strap for the BB58 to differentiate a bit but I truly feel like this is the perfect two watch collection for an approximate 10k budget. I feel like both watches are under the radar yet elegant, sporty and sophisticated and I don’t think I’ll be looking for another watch for a while.

I'd love if they had a BB58 with a red bezel, but that doesn't exist. * Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 600: Love the sharp look of the watch, and it's about 1/3 the price of the tudor. My concern is the size, they only have the red in 42 or 38mm.
