 Alright, so once you guys take it out, you can see it's all nicely compressed and all nicely wrapped up. Let's take off this layer as well. Alright, so once you guys open it up to this point, if you see right here, they do provide you guys instruction to teach you guys how to actually open it. So they mention how you probably want to leave it out for around 24 hours before you guys start using it so that we can get the actual full shape of the comforter

 1) after one wash seam looaend and cotton came out-- I don't think it could hold up to repeated washes - also one of corners ripped where the ring is to tye on duvet 2) does come with rings on corners for duvet which I would say is a must because I don't think it could hold up to repeated washes- even if you have a twin size that fits in washer easily! 2) King size (can't speak.for.other sizes) is way to big for a regular washing machine- coming to next point 3) for at least the king you have to get a duvet- not sure about smaller sizes - but even still don't think these can hold up to repeated washes 4) if you have big dogs and kids and need blankets washed alot putting the duvet on and off is extra work- especially when your 4 year old thinks it's a game' duvet changing can get annoying and time consuming- not something I planned on

 The reviews were very good, and if the $35 comforter didn't work out, we could always banish it to the guest room and treat ourselves to a fluffy/puffy goose down comforter (which start at well over $100 in king size, are a pain to clean, and quality and longevity are by no means guaranteed). I think we made the right choice. The Utopia comforter appears to be very well made. The stitching quality is good, the shell fabric seems perfect for the job, and the filling is uniformly distributed and stable - no thin spots

It is not as puffy as the adds show (the customer pics are accurate, however), but it is soft and fluffy and relatively light - very pleasant to sleep under (we put it on top of our old synthetic comforter for cold nights - a nice combo that still feels reasonably light). The comforter is bright white, so I wouldn't recommend that it be used without a duvet cover (yes, the comforter can be laundered easier than a good down comforter, but washing just the cover is easier still)
