The ViewSonic Elite XG270QG is the best G-SYNC 144Hz monitor we've tested. You can take full advantage of your NVIDIA graphics card with this excellent gaming monitor, and you can even overclock it to 165Hz. Its VRR support only works over a DisplayPort connection, and it's limited to 60Hz over an HDMI connection.

It has a fantastic response time at its max refresh rate and remains quick even at 60Hz, so motion looks very smooth. It has a backlight strobing feature to reduce motion blur even further. However, it works within a narrow range. Also, input lag is very low and doesn't increase much with VRR enabled. The 1440p resolution and 27 inch screen help deliver an immersive gaming experience with clear images, and it has wide viewing angles if you want to use it for co-op gaming.

Sadly, it doesn't support HDR, which is disappointing considering its price. It also has an IPS panel with a low contrast ratio and disappointing black uniformity, so it's not the best choice for dark room gaming. On the plus side, it has great ergonomics, and there's RGB lighting on the back to set the mood in your gaming setup.

If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, it's better to go for a monitor with native G-SYNC support, and the best 1440p 144Hz G-SYNC monitor we've tested is the ViewSonic Elite XG270QG. It's an excellent gaming monitor whose 144Hz native refresh rate can be overclocked to 165Hz for a more responsive feel. FreeSync VRR also works on it if you have a gaming console or another PC with an AMD graphics card.

It's similar to the ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQ because it has a 27 inch screen and great image clarity. It's good for co-op gaming as it comes with a versatile stand that you can easily adjust, and it has wide viewing angles, so the image remains accurate when viewing from the sides. In terms of its gaming performance, it has a quick response time at its max refresh rate, meaning motion looks smooth. There's also an optional backlight strobing feature, but it doesn't work above 120Hz. Also, it has low input lag for a responsive gaming feel.

Sadly, it has terrible out-of-the-box accuracy, meaning you'll need to get it calibrated if you want games with accurate colors. Also, it doesn't support HDR, so you're limited to playing games in SDR. If that isn't a problem, it's an excellent 1440p G-SYNC gaming monitor.

If you're looking for a cheaper monitor than the ASUS ROG Swift PG279QM that has the same 1440p resolution, check out the ViewSonic Elite XG270QG. It shares the same 27-inch, 1440p screen as the ASUS, but the trade-off for getting something cheaper is that it has a lower 165Hz refresh rate. It isn't ideal if you have a high-end NVIDIA graphics card that can hit the 240Hz refresh rate on the ASUS without problem, but if you have an older graphics card that struggles to hit high frame rates at 1440p, it's worth going for a lower refresh rate monitor. It still provides excellent gaming performance with remarkable motion handling and low input lag, especially with high frame rates, for a smooth and responsive gaming experience.

You need a DisplayPort connection to take full advantage of this monitor because it's limited to a 60Hz refresh rate and doesn't support VRR over HDMI. It, unfortunately, doesn't support HDR either, but as most monitors, except for the Dell Alienware AW3423DW, don't look good in HDR anyways, that doesn't make much of a difference.

If you want something cheaper, then the ViewSonic Elite XG270QG is a great alternative to the LG 34GP950G-B. It's a different type of monitor because it has a standard 16:9 display with a 2560x1440 resolution, so you don't get the same immersive gaming experience, but it's still a big enough screen for gaming. It's well-built with a versatile stand that you can easily adjust, and with wide viewing angles, the image remains consistent no matter where you view it from.

In terms of gaming performance, you can overclock its 144Hz refresh rate to 165Hz, and it has native G-SYNC support like the LG. It has a quick response time at any refresh rate, meaning motion looks smooth, and it has low input lag for a responsive gaming feel. There are a few drawbacks to it, as the picture quality isn't nearly as good as the LG due to its terrible color accuracy before calibration, and it doesn't support HDR either, so you need to play SDR games on it.

What 1440p monitors have low motion blur?

 To solve this problem, I'll wear my prescription sunglasses, but I've discovered the polarity of this monitor is turned in such a way that the sunglasses causes the monitor image to be completely black unless I tilt my head 90 degrees. This makes the monitor completely useless at the start of my work day.  Also, as others have mentioned, the out of box color accuracy profile is quite terrible, but fairly easy to solve.  All in all, once the color profile is fixed, when I can wear my normal glasses, and I don't see the backbleed 95% of the time, it's a good monitor, but not great / excellent

I'm in the market for a new 24" IPS and am extremely confused due to an insane lack of reviews on a lot of these... I've gathered some that I was interested in such as:

* MSI MAG251RX - 240hz
* Acer Predator XB253QGX - 240hz
* Acer XV253QX - 240 Hz
* Acer XV253QP - 144Hz
* ASUS TUF VG259Q - 144hz
* ASUS TUF VG259QM - 240hz
* ViewSonic XG2405 - 144hz

My old monitor was an AOC AG271QG (which was fantastic but sold it when I moved house) but I'm building a new PC and prefer to go back to 24" and 1080p mostly for high framerates. I'm not playing e-sports titles at all (used to before) but I am very sensitive to response times and blur etc, which I found the AG271QG to be a very good compromise with its GSYNC module etc.

Is there any other monitor I'm missing and what would be the "overall best"? I've spent a few days searching and it's driving me insane, mainly the lack of coverage online for some of these. 

I don't really *NEED* to go for 240hz necessarily, I'm looking for the best **overall**, but having great response times and perceptive motion blur is a must...

Very confused with 24" IPS 1080p high refreshers...

Bought 2. They don't match

I own that monitor and imo it’s the best 1440p I’ve yet tried. I heard it’s discontinued but I still see it in stock. Edit: There’s also ViewSonic XG270QG Elite which I guess is a renewed version. Also why tf is my comment downvoted?
