Unboxing the PX748-4K Ultra HD Home Theater Projector

Looking for some feedback on the PX748-4k.  I have been hunting for reviews and have hard a really hard time finding any.  I have been hunting for a 4k projector upgrade for my solid 1080P DLP for quite some time.  Nothing wrong with the Pro7827HD, just wanting a better picture for my 120" fixed screen.  I also would like to step up to HDR, and this model supports HDR formats.

On paper, it seems like the PX748 will be a significant upgrade in terms of both brightness performance as well as DLP chipset should be much faster for input when gaming.

Going from 2,200 -&gt; 4,000 lumens should give me better daytime performance, it also seems to have a longer lasting bulb (up to 20,000 hours eco mode).

I have had the hardest time finding a 4k with a bigger zoom (1.3x) and need to place the projector about 12'6" from the screen based on my room layout.  Everything in 4k DLP seems to be 1.1 and required about 14'+ to get the 120" image.

Am I missing any good options under $1500?

Anyone have any experience with the PX748-4k that can share their experiences?  Also wondering about the 12-Volt Trigger, I use one from my Denon receiver to the Parasound amp, it turns on and off my amp, can the projector turn on and off my receiver using the trigger?  The example I saw ViewSonic use was raise or lower a projector screen, but my screen is fixed to the wall.

Color not quite right

Is px748-4k going to be better or is it not as simple as that? For £1000 is the px748-4k a good purchase or would you have a better recommendation. Will be used in a front room is place of a normal TV. Room can be a little bright in the summer even with blinds closed so bright is a must.

Nice projector but not great

Good projector...but be careful

  So now my one and only issue I have. It is not showing 3D correctly. The problem is the picture is severely shaking or flickering. I was able to play 3d fine on my old projector and now this one does not

Awesome with some issues

 Turning brightness up to 52 helped a lot with being able to see things in the shadows. Turning BrilliantColor down (to ~7 for HDR, ~1 for SDR) helped keep things from looking washed out. The throw distance is long enough that it shouldn't be in front of you for fully immersive size so I'll probably need to do a ceiling mount. At 120" in a dark room at night It seems a bit too bright even on eco mode since the blacks look gray and bright HDR whites can make me squint
