 Pops right off, that is on there, that's back on, so that's how it looks like, it just has a little bit of curve, but that's it, looks good, now let's hook it up to a computer. Alright guys, I brought my new PC down, hooked it up to the monitor, it's time to go.  My budget was $500, but most of the monitors with the specs I was looking for started about $800. This is my first high refresh rate ultrawide gaming monitor. So as the title says I was wondering if it was a common thing to have an ultrawide on top of a smaller 16:9 higher refresh rate monitor which is used for gaming, either stacked on top of each other on a single vertical arm or with the ultrawide wall mounted above the monitor. I got the idea from posts which have a large TV wall mounted above a monitor, except replace the TV with an ultrawide instead.

I’ve never seen this concept anywhere and was wondering if anyone’s ever tried this or something alike?

High refresh rate 16:9 for gaming with an ultrawide on top for productivity

  High refresh rate - 144Hz is worth it, I would never go back to 60. Makes games so much more enjoyable, and even dragging the mouse around way better. This is about the cheapest you can get for a 144Hz 1440p ultrawide as well.  1500R curve - I thought this would be too aggressive, but I really like this level of curvature on an ultrawide monitor

Good monitor but bad black smearing and freesync flickering

Hi, for last 2 weeks I've been searching for a 21:9 monitor. I'm quite new to this topic and I dont want what to look for. Perfectly I'd like to buy monitor which is:

* 34"
* 3440x1440
* 144Hz or higher
* Curved
* preferebly with HDR

I don't care too much if it would be VA or IPS panel.

My budget is probably like up to 550$ but if there will be something much much better for like extra 30$ I probably can afford it.  
For the more pricy one I saw this one  Asus TUF Gaming VG34VQL1B curved  (in omy country it'd be like 710$ but it's because of many things) but if for example the one from Gigabatybe G34WQC (about 560$) which is much cheaper is similar to this I dont see the point of paying that much of extra money. 

(I've put the prices to show the difference beetwen the prices of those monitors. I'd like to have reccomended prices accrding to your countries since Gigabyte monitor is much cheaper buying directly in dollars.)

Please help I have no idea what to do :'(

Trying to join ultrawide community

A disaster waiting to happen…

 It's a pretty new monitor with an aggressive 1500R curve VA panel, 144Hz refresh rate, and a 3440x1440P resolution at 34", making it a 2K monitor. I believe it uses the same Samsung VA panel as the Nexios Edge 34, and that one comes in at about $100 more. There are a lot more reviews on the Nexios, so if you're interested in gaming specs, you can go there for comparison. I am simply using this for productivity purposes, and this Viotek monitor fits that criteria

 If you're looking for an inexpensive gaming monitor with fast refresh rate, this will fit that criteria. But if you're staring at text all day, I think maybe an IPS display will provide something more clear.  I also have a 2018 MacBook Pro. The default refresh rate was 60Hz, so I changed it to 100Hz. One thing to note is that it doesn't charge your computer, so you'll need a separate power source for your laptop. The colors at first seemed a bit washed out, so I calibrated it with the Legom LCD monitor test

I like that the Monoprice monitor can be overclocked to 120hz, but I don't know much about any of these manufacturers, so I'm not sure if any of them should definitely be avoided. <p>I like that the Monoprice monitor can be overclocked to 120hz, but I don&#39;t know much about any of these manufacturers, so I&#39;m not sure if any of them should definitely be avoided. If all of those are terrible, I&#39;m also considering spending more and grabbing the <a href="https://www.amazon.com/AOC-CU34G2X-Frameless-Immersive-Adjustable/dp/B07ZB2TNZZ/ref=pd_di_sccai_3/143-1230865-0658445?_encoding=UTF8&amp;pd_rd_i=B07ZB2TNZZ&amp;pd_rd_r=803d0aee-bb67-4251-a738-0e3ce278d281&amp;pd_rd_w=vDEW3&amp;pd_rd_wg=QkgJz&amp;pf_rd_p=5415687b-2c9d-46da-88a4-bbcfe8e07f3c&amp;pf_rd_r=XQE4HP3VB5QC9ARKC3YV&amp;refRID=XQE4HP3VB5QC9ARKC3YV&amp;th=1#customerReviews">AOC CU342G2x</a>, since it has 144hz and a 1ms response time, but I don&#39;t think those features alone would be worth an extra $150 (unless anything below $400 is liable to stop working properly). Are there any better monitors in my price range that I may have missed? Thanks in advance for the help!</p>

Need Help Picking a Monitor

Does not have HDMI 2.0

 Some people like the less aggressive curve, I like this one. This is 1500, I think the curve on this is just fine. And some tips here, anytime you get a new monitor, you want to go into your Windows settings, open up your display, and sort of make sure you have everything set up properly. You've got the right resolution selected, and then you can go into the advanced display settings here, and again, you can sort of verify, you can kind of check it, verify that everything is set up properly and everything is selected
