 This leather finish at the back looks classy and elegant, and I am 100% sure business users will love this design. And since the phone's not that wide either, I also like how it feels in my hands. It has a nice grip thanks to the gentle curves on both sides. And although it weighs 215 grams, it does not feel that heavy because of the even weight distribution

 This leather back also does not catch any fingerprints, smudges or dust, and it's not that slippery either. Now, you might be thinking that this big protruding camera lens wobbles a lot when keeping the phone face down, but it surprisingly doesn't. Plus, Vivo has not compromised on an IP rating as the X90 Pro comes with an IP68 dust and waterproofing. The only thing that I personally am not a big fan of as far as the design is concerned is the curved display

I don't mind curved displays as long as they're subtle, but this just looks old school and reminds me of older Galaxy S series phones. But if you can look past this, the quality of this display is actually excellent

 Even in pitch-dark situations, you can get great-looking photos with good details and almost zero noise, especially when turning on the night mode. In terms of videos though, Vivo is still playing catch-up with something like the iPhone 4 Pro Max. Yes, you can shoot up to 8K here and the 4K recordings turn out pretty stable as well but I will still pick an iPhone when it comes to shooting videos any day. And the fact that the X90 Pro can do just 1080p 60fps selfie videos is a big disappointment for a flagship phone

 Version 13 running on top of Android 13. Fortunately, after a bit of fiddling about, it does sport a very stock Android sort of vibe in many respects. You've got your Google discover feed there. This actually uses a separate 50 megapixel portrait sensor, the IMX758 with optical image stabilization again, plus 4 in 1 pixel binning for better looking night shots

 This is absolutely fine for getting a more pulled back view of the action, fit a bit more into frame. No telephoto shooter, sadly, unlike a fair amount of other premium flagship smartphones out there. But to be fair, that's pretty decent camera setup. And you do have that high resolution mode, which you can always swap to if you do want to capture a 50 megapixel image and then crop in

 Flip it around and you'll see that the Vivo X90 Pro sports a vegan leather finish. Although as you can see there, that fake leather surface is split in twain by a metal band which stretches from edge to edge. And that just bleeds neatly into the Vivo X90 Pro's frame. Really like the design work here

Gamers can play the biggest Android titles like Genshin Impact on the Vivo X90 Pro 5G with a smooth frame rate, plus a dedicated gaming mode. Battery life is also excellent, helped by the energy efficiency of that Dimensity 9200. And FunTouch OS 13 delivers a wide range of features, but also a crapload of crapware that you'll want to delete.

 The X90 Pro's main camera is capable of taking some amazing quality night shots with a lot of detail, almost no visible noise and just a nice and clean overall look. The wide-angle camera struggles in low light but I really like the quality of two times optical zoom images. The 32MP sensor takes nice looking selfies. Depending on what you expect from your selfies, you can take true-to-life images or photos like this where you look a lot younger and wearing makeup

 All of these creative options let you take really nice looking portraits with a blurry background effect, good edge detection, nice skin tones and a simply beautiful overall look. One of the best portraits I've seen on a phone. When shooting landscapes, you won't be able to notice the effect of the larger sensor but images usually look very good. When I compare the quality of shots of the Vivo X90 Pro to the iPhone 14 Pro, Xiaomi 13 or the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, all phones produce excellent quality images but the Vivo X90 Pro tends to preserve the natural look which can be seen through not-so-aggressive image processing and very accurate colors

 While most phones look very similar today, a 1-inch sensor and a bit different design make it stand out from the crowd. If you are looking not just for a solid camera-centric device but also for a great all-around flagship smartphone, Vivo X90 Pro should definitely be on your list.  The noise reduction is not too harsh, so we see a bit of noise, but that's why we enjoy good detail levels. And there's good exposure and color saturation, and a wide dynamic range. The 4K low light videos from the ultra-wide camera are decent. They are a bit dark, and there is some noise present, but the detail level is acceptable, and the colors are nice

 It's detailed and sharp enough, with good contrast, wide dynamic range, realistic colors, and tolerable noise. 4K low light videos from the main cam are quite good too. They have more than enough detail, excellent exposure and color saturation, low noise, and wide dynamic range, with well contained highlights. But wait, there's more

 There's no 8K recording from the ultrawide cam either, but its 4K videos are impressive, even class leading for this sort of camera. The detail level is superb, and so is everything else. You get great sharpness and colors, wide dynamic range, and low noise. Electronic stabilization is supported across all cameras and resolutions, and it does a nice job

 The level of detail is amazing, the exposure is outstanding, and so is the dynamic range. There is no noise, and the colors are very accurate. It's some of the best low light video we've seen yet from a phone. The 4K videos from the telephoto camera are very good

The vivo X90 Pro turned out to be an excellent smartphone and an impressive cameraphone with few if any, caveats. It has a likable and grippy design, and it is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. The X90 Pro also impresses with an excellent AMOLED with great color accuracy and high brightness. The HDR10+ support is recognized by all popular streaming apps, too

 The main camera uses the same 1" Sony sensor, the telephoto one relies on a 48MP sensor with 5x optical zoom lens, and the ultrawide camera has a 48MP sensor with AF lens, too. There is also a TOF 3D system for enhanced portrait and focus capabilities. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra uses a Chinese MIUI ROM, but we believe people would still choose it for its outstanding quality despite that.

 All photos and videos we took with the rear cameras are simply stunning. There is no doubt that this alone is enough to rank the vivo X90 Pro among the best cameraphones in the world.
