 It is supposed to give you the illusion of front over here back sound, so basically, it's like objects moving to give you that illusion, the sound bar itself. It features a center channel, a left and a right speaker, and it's also featuring two up firing speakers to bounce off the ceiling to give you that sound of height or something above you which it's experiencing it. It'S definitely here, but is a tricky one. [, Music, ], [, Music ]

 It also gave me an ability to adjust the up firing speakers value, which, for some reason the remote does not do so. If you're interested in person is this device, it do give that option, but you only can control it through the app first. You cannot do it. The remote which I found weird, but I definitely just did it once I found it

 The camera is looking up at all the cameras cut off for them. You actually hear that sound from the top speakers. Let you know that hey this is coming from a bull, so I understand it and I see it's there, but it's still like a subtle thing. That'S the best way to describe to me Atmos is subtle, but I still love it overall

 I feel like the JBL definitely sounds wider and the Atmos height effect is definitely better, I’m not sure the overall sound is better. The dialogue seems low to me depending on the source content. Watching Avengers in Atmos I felt like I was struggling to hear the dialogue, whether I turned smart sound on or off. The Vizio had much more control over the settings and I always kept the center raised to level 3, maybe that’s the reason

 Also not sure it’s worth the premium over the Vizio. Probably going to return or sell it and try the Sonos Arc before settling back on the Vizio.

 The included remote should be familiar if you've owned a vizio sound bar at the top. You have an LCD screen that displays the status of whatever you're doing the screen is not backlit, so it will be hard to see in the dark just below that you have a power button, an input, selection and a menu button. The menu button allows you to change the volume of the various speakers, including the subwoofer. You can also change the EQ setting turn the height speakers on or off in various other functions

 So, overall, from a design standpoint, I have to give this a three and a half out of five. The next category I want to rank is features, and I give this a 3 out of 5. The sound bar system has Google assistant, bluetooth and Dolby Atmos, and I want to focus on Dolby Atmos for this portion of the review. Dolby Atmos Works, it sounds like you have overhead sounds coming from above

 First, the number of speakers in this package - you have one two three four facing speakers here on the sound bar along with one two four facing speakers here on the side surround so that told us five B dot. One refers to the one speaker in subwoofer here and the dot two refers to the two upward firing speakers here at the top of the sound bar. Now this sound bar will decode a dolby atmos signal, which means it can send audio information to these two high channels when it does the sound emits from these two speakers hits your ceiling and reflects back down when it does that, if long as you're sitting in A pretty good spot you, it will sound as if you have audio information overhead, so think of a plane flying overhead, or something like that now for this effect to work, your ceiling needs to be anywhere from seven and a half feet from your floor to twelve Feet from your floor any lower or any higher and the effect won't work. I'm looking for something with good sound quality, but I'm not an audiophile so doesn't have to be the highest end.  I want Arc capability.  I would prefer larger in size for purely aesthetic reasons, but this is not at all a priority.  I would ideally stay under $500, but if the perfect option existed for a bit more I could go up

  The sound quality has been fine, not quite as good as the Vizio.  But the real complaint is the usability of it.  Whenever it comes on you have to manually select the input, and them randomly you will have to reselect the input using the Yamaha remote.  It isn't at all convenient at all to keep a second remote nearby at all times

I have a 65” LG CX and I’m totally new to picking out a sound system for it. I really want to get a quality sound bar and my budget is around $500, but I really have no idea what to look for. I have 4 hdmi 2.1 ports on my TV all in use, but do I need to give one of those up to use a quality sound bar? Would love any suggestions, thanks! I’d really love to understand things better, but not too sure where to start.

Can anyone help suggest a Dolby atmos sound bar (and some question)

The good  is that this soundbar is relatively sleek and delivers great 5.1 surround.  The not so good  is that for atmos, the sense of immersion is enhanced only horizontally and not vertically, as the soundbar's upward firing speakers don't properly project sound upwards and leak a ton of sound forward. But YES, you do get the benefits of atmos' object-oriented sound, just that its mostly in a 2-dimensional plane

This can only be slightly correct with the system's built in av/delay compensation, but not enough

Don't expect convincing vertical sound.

I have the older version of the M Series Vizio surround sound and its been amazing so far! I have the Vizio SB36512-F6 which is just the older option re-branded as the M Series Soundbar. Never had an problem with it and for the price and wattage, its been great!
