 It sounds LOUD like, it can easily sound too loud but in a good way. I can be having it "blasting" playing Doom Eternal or such, walk down the hallway to the bedroom where my wife's sleeping and hear nothing at all. It does a great job with the surround sound when the speakers are positioned properly - in terms of actual surround and perceived volume. One final note, I typically have no crackling/humming/etc 

 Wires from sub to rear speakers ~25 feet long. One final thing to add - this is typically $200 bucks. Target charges about $250 as of writing this. I found it out too late So, 4 stars overall because I'm happy with it and can't compare it to much else

First off, I don't have much to compare this to other than 5.1 setups I purchased a decade ago. It's a little more clear but can definitely put out more volume (though way more than I need and never even have it turned up halfway). What is nice is the HDMI-ARC interface that didn't exist back then

Great for my expectations

5 second or so lag from when I move the controller stick to actually moving on the screen. When I turn off the soundbar and go back to speaker audio, the lag stops and it plays perfect. I also was messing with the settings and found that Auto 1 and Auto 2 sound outputs have this same issue, but changing to PCM fixes it.

 Here's where my gripe with the remote comes in. I usually use my TV remote. to control the volume and power for the sound bar, so the included remote is only used for further fine tuning or to turn other fun settings on or off. However, the last time I factory reset my sound bar seemed to disconnect my remote as well

 Fresh batteries and the LED display working just fine, I cannot control my sound bar. Now I have the factory settings which makes the subwoofer FAR too loud for my tiny apartment and there's nothing I can do about it. Or so it seems. Hopefully there's a step I'm missing to reconnect the remote, but so far, it seems that I may just have to turn the subwoofer off to be able to hear my front speaker

Hello! I could use some advice. I’ve been shopping for my first sound bar, and unfortunately I’m on a very tight budget — looking to spend $150 max. I obviously know that it’s almost impossible to get quality at that price point, but my (extensive) research suggested that there were a few potentially good options. I have a 55” TCL 6-Series TV. 

I first bought the Vizio M21d-H8R. Was very excited about it, but it had noticeable audio delay, regardless of whether connected by HDMI or optical. Playing with the settings didn’t fix anything. 

Exchanged it for a Vizio SB362AN-F6, which gets great reviews. It doesn’t have HDMI, so I had to use optical. Which meant I couldn’t use my TV remote to control volume. And the TCL Roku remote doesn’t use IR, so it can’t be “taught” the Vizio remote. I know this is personal preference, but I want just one remote. So, in other words, I think I learned that I need one with HDMI. 

Any suggestions for next steps? It seems I’m running out of decent options within my budget. I appreciate any advice.

Frustrating process picking a budget sound bar — advice?

 The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the fact that the way the back of the speaker mounting bracket is designed, it doesn't allow for your smaller speakers to sit flush against the wall AND project sound in an omnidirectional way. So you're sacrificing the sound projection because of a design flaw. And there are only enough screws to make you think you can get stared with mounting but in actuality, you need to have additional mounting screws to install it. Good thing I had just gone to the hardware store earlier in the week or I would have been thoroughly pissed

 My brother came and sat in the recliner that is positioned a bit in front of the sub and said "I can feel the bass in my soul!" lol

 Syncing blutooth to my projector was insanely quick, and the voice prompt tells you when it's connected every time you turn the equipment on and connect it to something. I have no complaints. The base is true, the high's and low's of the system are amazing for my smaller livingroom setup. I feel bad for my neighbors because even with the padding I used to elevate the sub from the floor so they don't feel the rumbling when I'm watching a movie or playing music, it can still be felt

Vizio V51-H6 system is $200 at Costco and has surrounds and a small sub. I don’t think you’ll get much better for the price!

Hey guys I’m looking to buy my first soundbar. I’ve helped my parents buy a couple but I obviously don’t wanna drop $500+ on a nice one. I’m looking to buy one preferably under $200. Id like to know what specific things make sound bars good.

What makes a sound bar good?

 The side speakers are clear and add dimension with the extra background noise. They are also exactly what we were looking in size. The subwoofer runs off of Bluetooth to the sound bar. But be aware that the small left and right rear speakers are wired to the subwoofer

The system itself was quick and easy to set up and connect to our Vizio TV. Overall the sound quality is very good. The side speakers are clear and add dimension with the extra background noise. They are also exactly what we were looking in size

 The subwoofer runs off of Bluetooth to the sound bar. But be aware that the small left and right rear speakers are wired to the subwoofer. This works out just perfect for us with the couch being up against a wall hiding those wires.  My main gripe is that overall I was hoping for clearer conversations in movies

My vote goes to the Vizio v51, regularly under 200 and would be amazing in a small room, if u can grab a m51a for around 200-250 it'd be even better

Im pretty satisfied with the audio quality from the TV itself, but wouldn’t mind improving it if it didn’t require a ton of money and a lot of a installation work. I don’t think it would be very viable to install full surround sound speakers in this room but I may be mistaken. New to this so if anyone could help guide me, I would really appreciate it.

How much difference does just a sound bar really make?

 My only issue thus far is getting the satellite speakers to work. All I hear is an extremely low static. Literally nothing else.

I just bought this soundbar yesterday. The soundbar itself and the subwoofer provide plenty ample enough sound just by using an digital optical cable. The settings allow for a very clear and crisp sound if setup correctly. Also, having the sound bar link to the tv's or roku's remotes for the tv to control the sound is great
