86 Waste, it's a versatile ski that's going to take you just about anywhere on the mountain. Super light wood core is going to be nice and responsive.

Hey, I'm Lanning and I just got off the all new Volkl Blaze 86. The 86 is new to the Blaze line.

- volkl blaze 86 or 94. For bindings I personally don’t want to regularly ski a pin binding on piste. The ride is rough compared with a regular alpine binding. Also using light weight pin binding in bounds puts a lot of wear and tear on them.

Whatever you do, please please please don’t buy the volkl blaze. It’s a ski that is okay going uphill when touring, but on the downhill it’s absolutely awful. Volkl did some weird BS with the rocker on the tip, and it skis like a really weird Soul 7. They aren’t fun, you’re not gonna have a good time jumping, doing any form of trick, or skiing trees.

As for skis, if you will be touring and spending time off piste, I would go wider than 79. The XDR 79 is not a ski that's designed for touring, it is more of an intermediate on piste ski that comes with a system binding (included) so it's not designed to be mounted with a pin binding. Something like the Volkl Blaze 86 W, Head Kore 85 W, Elan Ripstick 88 W, Atomic Backland 85 would be lightweight and also capable on piste and in the resort. For bindings, I don't recommend using a low tech binding like the Alpinist if you are also going to be skiing in the resort and on piste.

I tried the Volkl Blaze last season and loved them. They are the only ski I've tried that were as fun as my Nordica Enforcer 104's. I don't recall if I've tried any of the other skis on your list if I did they didn't leave an impression.
