Warbonnet Thunderfly

So uh, my first night in the Thunderfly, I'll give it a thumbs up. It did very well. I really like it

I was suspicious of the asym tarp/fly, but it did it’s job during an evening of constant rain. Best sleep I’ve had in a long time!. Nonetheless I have a Warbonnet Thunderfly on the way for a more affective porch mode!.

Warbonnet Thunderfly in Silpoly for cover. Light rain over night and the sound of running water made for some good Z’s.

Probably my favorite part is being able to sit up in the hammock, like a chair. Morning coffee is even better this way. I replaced the standard tarp with a Warbonnet Thunderfly to beef up the weather protection.

Gonna go with a Warbonnet Thunderfly in 20D silpoly. Decent coverage width-wise, the end beaks are awesome, and it packs down to the size of a Nalgene.

I was toasty warm all night. I did wear a wool hat and long johns but it was very comfortable. I have a Warbonnet Thunderfly which has partial doors and with the breeze that was blowing it felt several degrees warmer under the tarp.

First time setup of the Warbonnet thunderfly tarp and using the beetle buckles (in the dark nonetheless). Watched a few videos ahead of time, so setup was a breeze. An unexpected benefit of the beak doors, I was able to block the sun on one end. My other solution would have involved moving the hammock or tarp.
