I’m in my mid 60’s,and the tech who cleaned my teeth said I should use a waterpik even though I floss multiple times a day. I got a small battery powered Interplak just to see how it works and even though I used it once a day,I was going through a lot of AAA batteries,and it wasn’t as powerful as I wanted. I got the Ion because I didn’t want another power cord on the counter. I found the best tip for me is the blue feeler brush (the tech said that one keeps it at the best distance to the gum line)

Takes a little bit to get used to

 I did so, but I am still skeptical about the charging problems I've been having. That being said, I know that WP will replace the unit if it is mal-functioning.  ORIGINAL REVIEW:  I've never tried one before, so this was revolutionary for me: I absolutely love what it does to my teeth and gums. I used it on high 4-5 times after I first got it and the amount of cleaning it did was amazing: the tea stains on my teeth are gone
