One of the keys is, if you get one of the little pieces of down starting to pop out, what you do. Is you reach from the side the opposite side? You can see that what I do is I grab and I pinch and I begin pulling and you can suck that very expensive down back into your sleeping bag like magic, yeah, maybe maybe not and you'll notice

 Actually, I tend the zipper from the outside for some reason that actually makes it easier. Now you can see here I'll wriggle around that with six feet. My head is still totally here, and I've got room if you're even close to six feet. Probably I think the other bag is five, six anything if you're taller in five six trust me get the longer bag, because you can pull it up and kind of wrap it around your head, this particular sleeping bag design

 Let it totally expand out. Oh that's. Why I'm talking about yeah? How do you change the down? You say how can I move the feathers from the back of the sleeping bag to the front? Well, this particular bag. If you look at the diagram when western mountaineering, the baffles, are the down actually wrap all the way around? So if the bag is say too chilly, you can actually unzip the bag, take it and hold it on the back

BEST ultralight sleeping bag: Western Mountaineering MegaLite review

I have some winter trips coming up this year that will see night time temps drop down into the low teens / high single digits.  So I've decided to invest in a top quality 0 deg bag.  I will mainly be in the sierra nevadas so some snow but no rain is expected, I have a good 4 season tent. 

I've mainly been looking at the [Snowbunting](https://featheredfriends.com/collections/winter-expedition-sleeping-bags/products/feathered-friends-snowbunting-ex-0-down-sleeping-bag) / [Ibex](https://featheredfriends.com/collections/winter-expedition-sleeping-bags/products/feathered-friends-ibis-ex-0-down-sleeping-bag) bags from Feathered Friends and the [Antelope](https://www.westernmountaineering.com/sleeping-bags/microfiber-series/antelope-mf/) / [Kodiak](https://www.westernmountaineering.com/sleeping-bags/microfiber-series/kodiak-mf/) bags from Western Mountaineering.

I don't know anyone with any experience with any of these bags, I own some other stuff from feathered friends that I love and I've heard nothing but great things about other western mountaineering gear.

I'm just shy of 5'11, medium build.  The Antelope represents a small weight savings but at an increased cost.  The ibex seems to be the widest (good for pushing temp ratings with a puffy / pants), and weighs the most.

If anyone has used any of these bags I'd love to hear some experiences.

EDIT: I ended up going with Western Mountaineering Antelope GWS. I managed to find 1 in the regular size, only 1, every single place was sold out of it. Thanks for the input everyone, appreciate it on such a niche piece of gear.

Western Mountaineering vs Feathered Friends 0 deg bags

Almost my perfect 3 season bag

 So you want to get if you want to go ahead and shift down from the from the top of you to underneath you, because you're running a little cold, you can do that. All the down shifts all the way around, except for obviously where the zipper is in addition to the continuous baffles the bag itself has a full length, ykk zipper. That goes all the way down, and this bag has only a front draft collar. You can go ahead and see that right there there's a front draft collar

 I'Ve ran that bag. The nemo salsa in a similar condition, with a down jacket on and full pants that gives you an idea of the difference between the loft. This is an 850 plus fuel that is a 600 fill, so much less, lighter weight, more loft equals more insulation. This bag comes in three sizes: the five and a half foot, the six foot and the six and a half foot and the weight difference between all those is one ounce

 This is going to replace my nemo bag. I carry this for four years, but now, let's go to the pile of gear that my wife gets to use. This is going to be my go-to bag, especially out here in sierra out of back country and for hunting season now the bag itself is not cheap, but good quality gear. Hardly ever is it's a cost of admission, but if you treat your gear well, especially something like this, it's gon na last you for decades, keep it clean, keep it dry store it the way you're supposed to - and this is going to last a while and buy Once cry once versus my five other sleeping bags, all right, if you liked this video, give it a big thumbs up click over here to see more and i'll, see you guys next time, [, Music ], you

Western Mountaineering MegaLite: A Waste of Money!?!

WM has another winner with the MegaLite. This wider version of the SummerLite is more fully-featured, is roomy enough for just about any outdoorsperson, and is absolutely luxurious. The small shop in San Jose still makes them here in the USA, and leads the sleeping bag market. Other bags may have caught up in weight, but most got there by cutting features or using delicate shell fabrics

More than the Essentials, Luxurious

Great bag - packs into virtually no space.

Perfect for spring and fall

 It has plenty of room so I can comfortably wear fleece or whatever for the cold temps or use it as a quilt for the warmer nights or with my gf. I also like it as a quilt in my cold Chinese apartment. It has a wide comfort range because the down can be shifted. Mine is in pristine condition except for a small tear where I caught it in the zipper

 I made a field repair, no problems. Other than that the Pertex fabric is great, the zipper is like new, and the loft is like new. A really versatile bag with a much greater comfort range than 30 degrees.

 For me, the larger shoulder size means more versatility. I've used it from 15 degrees to in the 70's, all comfortably. It has plenty of room so I can comfortably wear fleece or whatever for the cold temps or use it as a quilt for the warmer nights or with my gf. I also like it as a quilt in my cold Chinese apartment
