 Oh four, five. Okay, so there's five different loops that you can connect to. They kind of help you custom fit to however far apart the trees or whatever it is that you're hanging across on the one side just has one loop and this little patch sewn on there talon hammock straps, light and then on the back. Here it gives you a max weight is 500 pounds combined so that's for two people

 Okay, so pecking this up is actually not too hard of a process. Um, like I said before, I just roll the straps up, put them in the bottom, and then you stuff everything in there. You don't have to fold it or anything, you just just kind of stuff it in there like a sleeping bag until until you can close it up. So I'm going to go ahead and play those clips now of me actually using this and doing a little bit of a real life review on the field

 So you get at this is the end of the strap and each end has this. so there's one, two, and three different. Oh four, five. Okay, so there's five different loops that you can connect to

 I actually bought one of these for my friend as a gift. Um, I just think they're a great little hammock and for a two-person like this packs up pretty nice and small. So good for camping and things like that which I do a lot of. Thank you guys so much for watching! Wise Owl Hammock Review! (Real Life Tested)

 For the price I don't think you'll ever be able to find a hammock that can rival it in quality or comfort.  Full review:  Before moving forward there are two things that should be kept in mind 1.) this is my first single hammock 2.) I've only had the hammock for a few weeks so my time with it is limited

 Yes, the GT single is more expensive, but you get 6 extra inches of width which for me is worth it. Wise Owl, if you're reading this, PLEASE make a single XL that gives an extra 6 inches or foot of width, make it 30 or 35 dollars and i would buy it in a heartbeat.

  BUILD QUALITY: 5/5 : The stitching is superb, no fraying, no popped stitches, no corners were cut when constructing this hammock. The colors are also top notch, true to the pictures that are posted here on amazon. If anything the hammock colors may actually look better in person. When compared to my Grand Trunk (GT) it's hard to say which is built better, due to the relative newness of the Wise Owl (WO)

 I do however have a Grand Trunk double ($70) that I've had for nearly a year now that i'll be comparing to the Wise Owl ($26). My friends also have ENO's, so i'm familiar with them as well. That said, there are a few inexpensive hammocks that are advertised as having a good weight capacity.  The  MalloMe one-person camping hammock is listed on Amazon for $18.  The reviews seem generally good, though based on a couple of the negative reviews you might want to consider replacing the included ropes with something like amsteel.  The Wise Owl Outfitters camping hammock is listed at $20 for a single or $30 for a double, and has a listed max weight of 500lbs

  It looks like you'd want to go with double-layer 40D or 70D nylon if you want to keep it fairly light.

I have years of camping experience and terrible uncomfortable nights outdoors and I've decided that I'd like to use a hammock.  I have a dilemma however, that I'm approaching 400 lbs.  I'm scared to buy expensive gear because I'm afraid of breaking it.

I figured maybe they were being more truthful than the rest.

The good news: somehow getting in I did not tear it and it seems to hold me.  for the ten minutes I spent in it was very very comfortable.  I think I can get a good night's rest for once.  I can also send it back since it's Amazon.

I think I am willing to try this on an upcoming trip, but I have one more issue: The straps suck.  I put them as high as I could reach but by the time I sat all the way down, my butt barely touched the ground.  I could lay down and shift around and it would raise me but I was still really close. The straps said nonstrech but that's obviously false.  

What do I need to get that will hold me up? At the very least suspension-wise?  I know I'm not the ideal hammock candidate but please help me... Tents are cool for shelter but ultimately lead to miserable nights.

Help me hammock camp as a big fat old dude.

 There was plenty of material for both (a combined weight of about 250 lbs.) to comfortably lounge side by side! The fabric stretches just enough to cradle the forms of both of us without causing us to roll and bunch up in the middle. I plan on using this hammock for just myself, but I have no doubt that it would be just as comfortable with two adults. So if you are in the market for a lightweight hammock, this is the one to buy!  This is a good product for a good price. If you're in the market for this type of hammock, I can highly recommend this brand.  I also purchased GONEX Hammock straps. This $12 accessory was more cost-effective than other options and still great quality

 I definitely recommend hammock straps as an accessory - these will make hanging the hammock MUCH easier and considerably faster. I think the flat webbing of good hammock straps tend to hold the hammock more securely around trees, but that's just me.

 - Was happy to learn that Wise Owl Outfitters is a USA company, even if the hammock itself is manufactured in China. I'm sure this keeps the price down considerably, but at least part of my purchase was supporting a domestic product. - This is an incredibly compact and lightweight hammock! Well, not that I have much comparison. And if you really don't need the heavy duty carabiners, you could make it even more light weight
