I have reviewed the original Weiscam Outdoor when it was released a year and a half ago and I made a lot of enemies then because I considered that camera as a fail for wise. Now there are people. I guess that uses the Wise Game Outdoor not as a security camera and real time notifications are not important to them

Wyze Cam Outdoor V2 - Better or Failed Again? Features, Unboxing, Setup & Testing

Setup difficulties with some newer phones -- workaround is do-able but a bit of a pain

 With my being in the garage, we get mosquitoes flies, just normal summertime bugs that we're also setting off the camera. two three, four o'clock in the morning and initially we're scaring the crap out of me because I thought someone was trying to get in and really it was just a bug that flew in front of a screen. I've turned that sensitivity down. Keep that in mind, you may get more notifications than you want, you may not be getting enough tinker with the sensitivity scale and you should find a happy medium

 by inserting the micro SD card, you're able to also save those triggers not only up in the cloud but also on that SD card directly when you have an SD card inserted. So I can trust those notifications. They continue to come if it's a case when we're actually not home and someone were to try to get in quick. sidenote: Depending upon where you put the camera at, you may need to tinker with the notification sensitivity level

 Just recently the Wise Camera V2 was given Amazon Alexa support. By enabling this skill, you're able to look at the live camera feed not only in the wives camera app, but now you can do it on the Amazon echo shows on the echo spots and also on Amazon Fire! TVs just by using your voice for twenty dollars. I am super impressed with the value and then also the quality of the product that Weis is providing. Not only is their product awesome, but their product support is some of the best that I've ever seen

Wyze Cam V2 - Is It Worth the Hype? | Full Review

 My pros and cons are bellow.  Pros: - easy installation - nice packaging - nice and minimalistic design - good video quality - option to record short video clips into the cloud (so even if someone was to stole the actual camera, you can still access the video from the cloud) - decent options for automatization - great and simple integration with the sensors - video feed is great and can be easily accesed remote  But, the cons are a real dissapointment: - the sensors are randomly going offline and you need to manually reset the camera to get them online again (I've read somewhere that if you use a charger that doesn't provide enough wattage the sensors can disconnect so I bought a quickcharge wall plug and connected that but this didn't solved the issued) - delayed notifications for triggered events ranging from 2-3 minutes up to 6-8 hours. This is the real deal breaker, because you want to get notified as soon as something triggers the detection system, but no mattee what you do (stop the app from going to sleep, setting it as priority app in android, etc) this issues still remains. The developers know about this issue because there are a lot of users on their forums that complained about this but they don't release any update for this

Good hardware, laggy notifications software

 If you are using your Wise Cameras just for indoors then it is not really necessary to get the Ai subscription. More than likely you will only turn on notification when nobody is inside the house and usually there will be nothing inside the house that can trigger false notifications, especially when nobody is home. Just install a micro Sd card and any motion will be recorded to the card and you also get a 12 second recording to the cloud even without subscription. And also you will get faster notifications compared to when you have the subscription turned on

 All right. So we are going to test the motion alert notification speed of the Wescam band Version 2 and I have the Ai or the campus subscription turned on so personal detection is turned on and it is top 31 and I'm on my Lte connection. so let's check it out and see how long it is with the Campus subscription. A little bit of delay

 Also, my old version 1 still works without issues and it is already more than 3 years old, so more than likely this version 2 will do the same. Now as to the campus subscription.  No matter what brand you go for - make sure it’s the HIGH ENDURANCE type.  Wyze cams v2 and v3 are finicky and if you value your time, just buy a big name brand quality microSD card with high endurance.

  I tried to circumvent that reliance with high capacity microSD cards and found the cheap ones aren’t compatible/useful/consistent. The largest I have gotten to work is SANDISK 128gb HIGH ENDURANCE. No matter what brand you go for - make sure it’s the HIGH ENDURANCE type.  Wyze cams v2 and v3 are finicky and if you value your time, just buy a big name brand quality microSD card with high endurance

WYZE Cam V2 - THOROUGH EXPLANATION / KNOWLEDGE ACCUMULATION OF CONTINUOUS RECORDING and microSD Card Issues

 Invariably you will come back to your phone and have a bunch of Wyze notifications because it WILL fail to alert you in real time. IOS (in the system menus) and some Android hacks will allow you to change this functionality but results are marginal at best. The developers NEED to address this simple problem IMMEDIATELY, because an alarm system is worthless if it cannot properly ALERT you, especially not in real time. Simply stated, with this flaw Wyze cannot help you watch your property, much less pets, children, elderly folks, the disabled

TERRIBLE due to MINOR flaw they won't fix!

If the new Wyze doorbell turns out to be crap I only wasted $30 and I have an extra weatherproof camera that I can wire to another location on my house.

I currently have an original Ring Doorbell (came with the house when I bought it.) I've installed several Wyze cams (v3) and pre-ordered the home monitoring. I'm considering if I should replace my Ring with a Wyze Doorbell to keep everything integrated and under one eco-system. I've also considered leaving the ring, just adding a camera above my door. What are your thoughts? Have others swapped a Ring for Wyze?
