I hope my family and I never have to find out how good this ladder REALLY is

A house burned in our neighborhood, and while I've been pretty good about making sure I have all of the extinguishers, alarms, etc., I hadn't picked up a ladder for escaping from our 2nd floor bedroom if the worst case happened. I looked at several options, and this one seems to be the best on the market.  I like the standoffs that keep the rungs away from the wall - that makes sense as far as utility

We've been searching for a good second-story escape ladder since January 2013, when my wife's brother was killed in a house fire.
