 Branding aside, this shadow gray model looks rather smart, and you can also grab the Poco X3 NFC in cobalt blue here in blighty if you'd like something a bit lighter. You do also get a simple condom case bundled with the Poco X3 NFC as well, but I kept this off the phone the entire time I used it just to see how tough that plastic chassis really was. And the good news is, it's still in pretty bloody good nick. There are a couple of tiny little scratches down towards the bottom of the back end there, but you have to squint really hard in order to see them

 If you're after a smartphone that's easy to handle, well, the Poco X3 NFC definitely ain't it, although you do at least get some one-handed help when needed, such as the ability to pull down that notifications bar nice and easy. And the actual look of this Poco blower is likely to put some people off too, most notably that bloody huge bit of branding, which is about as subtle as a kick in the coconuts. Personally, I didn't really care too much, because honestly, as soon as you pick up the Poco X3 NFC, your hand basically covers that logo anyway. But of course, I can understand perfectly well why someone would be put off by that absolutely fricking enormous tag

 This 64GB model will cost you just £199 from Xiaomi's UK website right now, and for that low price, you basically get mid-range performance and some super flagship style features like a 120Hz display, which frankly is more nuts than squirrel nutkins nut sack after a thorough dunking in a jar of Nutella. Of course, it's not quite perfect, but it is fantastic for the price. I've been using the Poco X3 NFC as my full-time smartphone for the past week, so here's my in-depth review, and also go check out my roundup of the best sub-200 pound budget phones that you can buy right now in Autumn 2020 for ideas of other close rivals.  But this time there really is no but. The hardware and software aren't entirely perfect, but honestly the overall experience they offer for £200 is just simply stunning. This could be a mid range smartphone costing around £300-350, no worries. So basically if you're after a mid range smartphone for a budget price, get this motherf***er

Review of Xiaomi's Poco X3 NFC, the best phone on a £200 budget so far in 2020, with a full test of the camera tech, gaming chops and everyday experience. I've been using the Poco X3 as my full-time smartphone for a week and here's my verdict on this great value blower, which is mid-range in all but asking price.

First up, this is the pilot handset for Qualcomm's Snapdragon 732G platform which is great for apps and even games. PubG, CoD Mobile and other top Android titles play with a perfect frame rate on top detail levels. I'm also a fan of the camera, championed by a very capable 64MP lens which shoots good looking photos and 4K video.

That IPS display boasts the same punchy, powerful output as an OLED panel, with 120Hz refresh support on top. Incredible performance given the Poco X3 NFC's budget cost. And Xiaomi has really improved the software thanks to MiUI 12, topped here with the Poco Launcher, for a very satisfying experience.

Battery life is good if not as strong as some rivals, and overall I struggle to find fault with this X3 smartphone. Especially given that low price. That's why I included it in my round-up of my favourite affordable devices of 2020.

Verdict - A lot of smartphone for 250 Euros (~$305)

 And I would say I'm growing kind of fond of this racing stripe we got down the middle. It breaks up the monotony on the back. They've managed to make a camera module that looks legitimately cool and powerful, although there is a fair bit of a protrusion. Also, this is a big phone

 And while I do love side mounted fingerprint scanners, and this one actually does the scanning extremely quickly, it takes a fair bit of time to process that information. Also, every now and again, when you're closing an app or when you're pulling up and holding to open up multitasking, it's not as smooth as it should be. But to be fair, a lot of this doesn't feel like a lack of power, just a lack of optimization for this new chip. So fingers crossed, it improves

 I'm talking like 2020 flagship sized phone. So not for the faint hearted. But that size isn't wasted. This is an LCD display, not OLED

Very good phone for games but not good without wifi

 If you aren't comfortable flashing a new rom I'd probably suggest you get a budget Pixel instead. I am personally sticking with MIUI for a little longer because i don't want to void the warranty but i had to tweak a lot of things in the settings too get it working more to my liking.  Anyway the battery is great. I miss AMOLED but the 120hz makes up for it

I wanted this phone for the big screen and refresh rate, i think you get just a little more for your money, keep in mind how much your paying, dont expect a galaxy s10, i had one major problem though. When i would play games, specially cod mobile halfway into thematch the screen would go black, every single time. So i dont know if it was just this phone. But for the money its a good phone

You get what u pay for maybe a little more, better than alot of phones its price.
