 I think it might be a little bit more strong, but not by too much and If I had to choose between the original or the extreme I feel like I might want a bottle of this one once I go through my Original black opium just because this one has a little bit more character. I'm going to go over the Main accords for the original which is vanilla coffee sweet warm spicy white floral soft spicy Fruity woody powdery and balsamic The top notes are pear pink pepper and orange blossom and then in the middle notes you have coffee jasmine Bitter almond and licorice, which a lot of that is not in the extreme And then the base notes you have vanilla patchouli cedar and cashmere wood And I still love the original I wish that it lasted longer I think I want to try out a few of the other flankers maybe in travel sizes because I've never tried the Intense or the neon But yeah this one I just get more of those floral notes and the coffee is just not as present as in that extreme one And then the coffee kind of just starts getting weaker as it dries down Now that I can smell the extreme. I feel like the original just Is a little bit flat in the dry down. It's still beautiful

 I Would say when it starts drying down like mid dry down you start getting the florals but still the main stars of the show is the coffee and the cacao I Get it so strong and then also Something that starts creeping in which adds a lot of like a sexiness to the fragrance is the patchouli that it's in there It makes it a little bit more It just gives it more depth And I find it sexier This fragrance to me is like a dry Fragrance, but then it has kind of like a creaminess at the same time But it means more on the dry side Also, I don't think that this is a beast mode fragrance. I don't think that you're going to get Crazy projection from it. It's more of a skin scent. Just like the original

 So original Black Opium is I guess YSL's answer to the sort of millennial 2000s scents. They did have their opium fragrance back in the eighties, which was a really big hit. It came in a brown bottle, but that was a very heavy oriental incency fragrance. Black Opium, which has been out for a while now, maybe about 10 years, has been a real success because it is strong, it's good for lasting, it's good for wearing in the evening, and it's essentially a vanilla coffee fragrance with some florals underneath, patchouli

 Personally, I think this is autumn, winter or evening time fragrance. So some people do swear by it and wear it all year round. I know some people find that it doesn't last on them, but most people say it does really last. And I have smelled this on people and it has been really strong and really good projections

 So I am broadly impressed by this fragrance. So original Black Opium is definitely soapy approved. Also what I like about it as well, especially at the beginning, there's a bit of a fresh pair, there's a floral jasmine. So it's not all about the sweetness and the coffee-ness
