 Hey guys, it's me, Delicious Delights, welcome to my channel, and welcome to Day 17 of Scentmas. Let's open this up. Alright, so today's fragrance is from the house of Zadith and Voltaire, and this is called This Is Her. So, there is what the bottle looks like, and there is the model modeling it

 That was a terrible one. This one is actually really nice. It's quite unique. I just really like the creaminess in here, and it's just a very cool fragrance

ZADIG & VOLTAIRE THIS IS HER | A Lovely Milky Creamy Gourmand Perfume (Sorta)

Zadig & Voltaire This Is Her is terrible on me. On my mum it's a gorgeous cosy and creamy scent, yet on me it turns sour and rancid. Not sure what note/accord is responsible (perhaps chestnut?)

This is something that came to mind as I was thinking about how sweet perfumes are amplified to the point of being cloying and even crossing over into smelling rancid on me (looking at you Marc Jacobs Lola that one time on a date to prove a point), which also makes some unisex fragrances wear in interesting ways. Lush Karma smells like syrupy root beer and patchouli on me while Kiehl's Original Musk wears like how I've always thought classic perfumes like Chanel No 5 or Shalimar should, but don't. I know fragrance can be subjective and we all have a little bit of olfactory baggage that can influence our perceptions but I also have it on good authority that sweet pink perfumes go sideways and smell like hot garbage on me.

It’s hard to find citrus fragrances that don’t remind me of a surface cleaner and Creatively Shanghai is so zesty and photorealistic, I love it!!! I’m also a huge fan of Fields By Nightfall - the This is Her comparisons are spot-on.

Ive only tried Gardenia and Creatively Shanghai on me, and I love them! And I got Fashionably London for a friend and it smells lovely! Also, I’ve been eyeing Tropical Boost... What are your fave zara frags?

Favorite Zara fragrance?

This has been a favorite of mine which I purchased in Europe. This bottle that I’ve purchased via Amazon does not seem to be as strong of a scent. Still love it but little disappointed

Over all the years that I’ve searched for my “signature” perfume, I always skipped over the ones that are too popular to give as gifts or too well known even if I liked them because I wanted to be unique and special. I tried expensive and high end, niche, mixing or layering my scents, flankers, designer frags that aren’t as popular, everything. I’ve found quite a few that I liked and will keep using BUT I recently tried Jadore and Coco Mademoiselle again, and they are both just so amazing and everything that I’ve ever looked for in a fragrance . I’m making those my new faves and never looking back 🤷‍♀️

I’m done trying to be unique

Lovely scent

This is Her is much creamier. It dries down a bit heavier with a creamy musk that Good Girl doesn’t have. To me This is Her gives “Good Girl goes to a ski resort in Aspen.” She’s still warm, sensual, and spicy but she’s wrapped in a cashmere blanket by a crackling fire

If you like Carolina Herrera Good Girl then you will probably like this. As soon as I smelled it, that’s what it reminded me of. I pulled up the Fragrantica for both and sure enough they share many of the same notes.
