You don’t have to put any power into the cast to cast a good distance with the Alphas CT SV. Personally I definately prefer the more free, light and effortless feeling over the more rigid and tight feeling Shimano offers.

 The Millionaire will need a different spool to cast as light as the Conquest. If you were to pair the Millionaire with the SLP Works spool, you're looking over $500 in total, making the Conquest a better value in the long run.

I own a pair of the Alphas CTs and they're my favorite reels, but they do need a shallow spool to cast below 3g. In one of mine I have the SLP Works SV700S spool ($120) and the lowest I've tried casting was 1.6g which worked wonderfully from my Major Craft Finetail 5' L. For out of the box finesse, the Conquest will be much better than the Millionaire

I mostly fish texas rigged soft plastics or swim baits out of a kayak.

 Okay, so this is the Shimano Calcutta Conquest DC101HG. It was first introduced in the Yokohama Fishing Show in 2020 and the size that I've bought here, this is the size 100. there is another newer model released in 2021, but it is not the Dc type or Dc model. It is the the normal type without the Dc

 My SLX DC baitcasting reel is a great entry level Dc braking reel, but the only thing that it's lacking is a drag sound. And you know, I'm addicted to drag sound so it is a bit disappointing when you can't hear the drag screams while you are reeling in a lunker, right? But there is an option which which is to modify my SLX DC braking system. but I don't want to do that because I'm trying to preserve the SLX DC in this stock condition. So I go with option number two, which is to buy a Bc reel with EDS technology in it instead

 Let me fix this back. Okay, because the Calcutta Conquest Dc comes with the Idc5 technology, there are 5 brake control options to be selected. 1 to 4 are the semi-automatic where the smaller the number, the less Dc braking will be applied and you have to somehow apply thumb braking to compensate that. But option number five, which is the W is the fully automatic braking where the braking process will be fully controlled and adjusted by the Dc system

and it is made in Japan printed in Japan so
it's made in Japan reel I've owned several

Shimano reels and especially my Stradics my
SLX DC all of them are made in Malaysia they

they were locally made and this is um my first
ever made in Japan reel so this is my first

one JDM reel okay so this is the distributor
okay so let's open the box

this is the reel all right so let us check
the other junks that come together with this

reel okay so here you have the uh I think
the exploded view part list the warranty card

which uh so maybe I need a translator after
this you know I need a translator uh to translate

all of this because you know I'm not familiar
with Japanese okay so maybe one of you guys

can help me to translate okay and it's bantam

it is a standard issue for all of uh JDM reel

here right okay okay and inside here is the
internal selector where you can select the

type of line that you are using N is for the
nylon F is for fluorocarbon and PE is for

polyethylene of the braided line and for the
dial outside on let me fix this back

okay because the calcutta conquest dc comes
