Great shoes

 It'S not too thick and the whole shoe all-around. It'S not too thick. There is a little bit of padding in the heel area, so you do have that that and then there is an eyelet for the tongue, so it doesn't slip and move to side to side, and then you do have you know flexibility in the shoe very lightweight. Very comfortable just mixed feelings about the grip, and you know we'll see how these continue to hold up long term, but I think, as far as for me for the summer, this would be a great way to go unless I really like the boots

 It has the drain holes a balanced, feel, definitely felt balanced with the shoe wider toe box. By going up a half a size, my true-to-size felt a little tight and i like the fact that nature. 5s), but the TR1s excel in a few ways over any previous shoes I have owned. Specifically, the grippiness of the sole is absolutely unmatched (hey, Astral-dont ever change this!). Also, the durability of the upper, midsole and outsole are outstanding (almost like a heavy hiking boot). The only trade-off is that they are heavier than other trail shoes I have used in the past few seasons

 I sent back then looked to re- order I found it odd that the size 11 are $89 yet a size 11&1/2 is $120. No they weren’t on sale when I first ordered them.  For me, that is a pretty good value on a hiking shoe. Now there is a lot less material going into this than say a 200 really robust, hiking boot. So, of course, i would expect the price to be a little bit closer to 100 than 200, but for me, honestly, just having it under 150 means that this is a really good value shoe for me. So i would totally recommend this shoe

 That is really can lead to a lot of rubbing around the heels. The ball of your foot, the bunions, if you have them and just having that extra room is really really helpful to making sure that you have a comfortable shoe now, let's talk about support uh. This is where the support is going to be minimal on a shoe like this and that's by design. So if you are looking for a shoe that has a high level of support, especially around the ankle, then this is not going to be the shoe for you

 If you can tell this has a really wide foot box here, that's really helpful, especially if you're backpacking with a lot of weight. It tends to have your foot kind of just compress, spread out um. That is really can lead to a lot of rubbing around the heels. The ball of your foot, the bunions, if you have them and just having that extra room is really really helpful to making sure that you have a comfortable shoe now, let's talk about support uh

 So, as you can see, there is sunlight moving through this shoe. That'S because this mesh is very thin. Now that could be a drawback depending on what your intended use is. However, if you want that breathable nature, these things crush it

 It has two zippers on bag so if one is open in the slightest all of your stuff falls out and the strap pocket barely holds anything. It has an extra strap that buckles to keep it in place and if you don't use both the bag rides up and chokes you. I have already used it and taken tags off so I can't return. Don't waste your money

iPhone 11 with case fits in the outside softer pocket but you definitely won’t fit a phone in the front strap pocket which it was hoping so it’s stretchy but it’s just not tall enough

It was super comfortable and stayed out of the way on a 5 hour hike in the Adirondacks, I was able to stuff a bathing suit 2 bottles of water and food in it but definitely more suitable for urban hiking / walking around a city or a hike closer to home where you don’t need so many “what if” or emergency items.

Unfortunately, I returned the bag. It was comfortable and held everything I needed for a day hike, but I found the side bag openings too small and awkward.   I would have preferred a top opening so you can see what was in the bag.   The deal breaker was the front cell phone pocket

Ok, but needs some improvement

When I received this product I was excited at the prospect of wearing it on either shoulder.  However, its not comfortably worn on either shoulder and has 2 straps with independent attachments to provide that feature but only 1 clips, the other is laced in.  Its possible to disconnect either but then you have this strap dangling behind or to the side.  Called Customer service to see if I was managing incorrectly and they had no idea how to use the product which was even more disappointing

Small feature change like receiver clip on both bottom corners with male insertion clip on the pocketed strap would make switching sides quick and easy and save #. Merrell should stick to shoes
