CamelBak Eddy+ vs MSR DromLite Bags

At least once a week I look down at the bite valve has popped off and disappeared. The slightest graze from my coat or bag and it pops right off. I keep losing and then having to replace this part, which is super annoying. Otherwise a very good water bottle but this top piece needs some work

This bottle was completely wrong for me! My husband bought it as a gift….but it was awkwardly too big to fit into my bike water bottle cage. With the straw system, it was really hard for me to suck the water and you’re left with a cleaning problem when you have a straw! It’s a nice color, and it had a handle….which I guess is okay, but I find it much better to have the “pop-open” and tip to drink type of bottle that will fit into bike water cages and other spots designed for water bottles

MSR has made this new iteration of a classic heavier and less durable than the one before. I have used Dromedary and Dromlite bags for 20 years, and purchased this one for solo bikepacking trips where weight and size are paramount. I was appalled to find it leaking from a tiny puncture the second day I used it. I am super careful with my packing, and from what I can tell, folding the bag upon itself and placing it in a pack tightly surrounded by other items was enough to create a puncture

I really appreciate how lightweight this bottle is. Additionally, it's super easy to clean by tossing it in the dishwasher. I know many people prefer their water iced, but because I like my room temperature, this is the perfect bottle for me! It's not insulated and maintains my water the exact temperature I like. :)

Needed a light weight water storage bag for backpacking with a group. This is not as heavy duty as the MSR rugged water bag but packs down smaller and considerably lighter.
