What I am trying to say, even the difference between 27 and 34 inches feels dramatic and you may feel overwhelmed by 49 before trying and experiencing it first hand. Particularly if you do not have the ample space and arm for it.

I currently pair it up with a 1080p 144hz gaming laptop. For work, I'm able to put Outlook on the right and web browser on the left while I use the laptop monitor for my coding IDE. That might seem odd to some but I spend more time in Outlook and Brave than I do coding anymore in my position. Anyway, like I said the resolution didn't change from my old monitor, but the physical size difference is what made this possible

The outdated HDMI 1.4 port is especially galling because it doesn't even have the bandwidth to drive the monitor at its full resolution/refresh rate - it's only able to do 50 Hz at 3440x1440. I really reccomend sitting further away from this monitor as opposed to being close up. The colors are very bright and vibrant. Literally no washed up colors no back light bleed really at all and if it's there just a little bit on this IPS screen you won't notice it at least not my unit.
