Uh, let's see the sternum strap Nice and easy, adjustable on the piping on the slider. Adjustable shoulder straps for length so that you can get the hip belt exactly where you want it on your body. The hip belt itself is nice and wide, so again, when you're making that wrap around your hips, there's a, you know, more surface area, more contact that's going to help carry the weight that's inside your pack and also keep things really comfortable on your hips

My name is Ryan and this is the Deuter Trail 30 Backpack. Are you looking for a backpack to take care of all your day hike needs? Well, I think this is the one that you should consider. I primarily purchased this backpack last summer about six months ago to Summit 14ers in Colorado and I wanted a backpack that could carry all the gear that I needed but still feel light on my back and do whatever I needed to do. and I found that this Deuter backpack has really fit the bill

 I do a lot of alone hiking just in the middle of nowhere. It's nice to have some music on because it lets you know that you know, lets the wild animals know that you're coming and you don't have to worry about surprising. You know an animal that you don't want to surprise. As you can see here, I've got the trekking poles hooked up to this already

I think this backpack is perfect, but I've also started using this backpack for just shorter, uh, one or two hour trips up a small summit because it just feels so light on my back and it fits so well

 If you have cold hands, you need to get into them, they're just really easy to use and normally in a backpack you would always just reach your gear from opening up this top section of the sack and you'd reach down inside. Well, what Deuter has done is they've also made this a zip area on the main compartment so you can open it like you would a suitcase and that has been a really nice feature. to be able to take the backpack off, access whatever I need in the main compartment without sticking my hand in the top and jumbling everything up. That's been really nice

If you're looking for just a backpack just to be a backpack though, and to and from the office, maybe to the gym, to and from class, this bag is gonna fit your needs very well. As long as you don't expect it to be feature-rich and have all these pockets and you know what you're getting into, you're gonna love this bag. Now to the cons of the bag

 It's still just that Cordillera fabric and I found that it doesn't breathe very well on your back and it's kind of a buzzkill for me. My next con is gonna be the laptop sleeve is not padded I Don't really know how you could market this bag for you know, everyday use where people are taking their laptops here and there and the only thing protecting that laptop is a tiny piece of nylon separating that in the main compartment. It's just a recipe for disaster, especially with the crap that we throw in the main compartment. along with laptops running upwards of like $3,000 nowadays

 You know you can unzip it, throw whatever crap you need to grab really quickly just because you don't wanna put it in the main compartment because stuff can kind of go to the bottom and it will get too in a second. And what I really like about it is the zipper on it. That thing is super heavy-duty I really don't know how you can break it and I know how you guys all know that once the zipper goes, it kind of the bag falls apart. so Topos done a really good job of putting like a really beefy zipper

 Here you got that nice topo bright, yellow inside really lights up the bag, so you can really see what's at the bottom, so you don't lose anything and then at the top we have another quick grab pocket here. This one kind of goes over the top of the bag, depending on how much you have it packed out. If you got these tightened down more, it's gon na lay a little bit flatter here, so you can have more access to it. Otherwise, it'll kind of be behind the back your neck, which is you know, not a bad spot for a more safety conscious people just so it's harder to get into it, while you're wearing it

 Then you're gon na have on the classic, and it's just got like a kind of like slick feel to it. So the water should bounce right off of that. But again as with all these the same sort of organization, you have you know the stretchy water bottle pockets and compression straps, although they are metal on this one. But it's all sort of the same and then in this middle pocket

 One and two, and then a small, a couple, little loops in front of that. If you want to like clip your keys to one of these just so they don't fall to the bottom of your pocket and then yeah. We have a couple smaller loops here on this other side, so a little bit of organization they're still not too much kind of keeps that minimal style while still having that more luxury feel and the back panel and shoulder straps on these are noticeably by a large Margin much more comfortable, it's really more thick dense, padding all over versus just having this kind of more like mesh. You know crunchy material, this real thick foam and so you'll kind of notice

 So, just a nice little day pack, we don't really need too much. As you can see, we just have a some mesh padding here, not the thickest, not the densest, but it'll get the job done. Unless you really load this thing out, then you may be wishing it had a little bit more, but for normal day to day use these do just fine and then up top. We just have a little grab handle here
