Fossil Haskell Double Zip Briefcase vs Timbuk2 Authority Laptop Backpack Deluxe

Quick question to Fossil: Why did you cheap out and not have this bag come with a leather strap? When I received the bag, it did not come with a dust bag (no big deal I guess). But when you open the bag it lacks in terms of organizational compartments. Even the pen holders feel cheap. They advertise that the bag fits a 15 inch laptop, which it does, but mine won't fit in the dedicated laptop sleeve

The exterior build quality is really good, zippers are okay, interior quality is a little lacking. I think the bag looks really nice other than the two straps at the bottom which seem excessive (unless I'm carrying a sleeping pad).

I fully expect to have this bag for years to come, and it's aging beautifully already. It's slim, which I love. Perfect for my 13" Macbook, a couple of note books, and my pens.

The leather is a really nice quality and color. The exterior details are subtle and the reinforced leather around the high use areas makes the briefcase a durable "work" bag. The weight of the workbag is right around 2lbs, which makes it great for traveling. The interior double storage is roomy, but a few more pockets would be nice for all of the techy bits and pieces that are necessary in today's digital world

I just wore out the original Authority backpack. I bought the slick grey color and the shiny coating eventually wore off and peeled on the top due to UV exposure over 5 years.
