In my opinion, this lid should have survived the tumble; it landed on carpet. At most, one might expect a crack in the glass; not complete obliteration. Today I got it out again to give it another try and it wouldn't allow me to even set the temp at all. I push the "low, high, warm" button and nothing happens!
