I'm 6'4" and deep in dad bod territory. Most backpacks are not proportional to my torso. I've used a messenger bag for work for some time, but am returning to school this fall and would prefer to go back to backpacking around campus.

Some of the designs from Topo Designs have caught my eye, even if they are marketed as travel bags rather than for daily use (such as [this](https://topodesigns.com/products/convertible-travel-bag-laptop-backpack-30l?variant=40136110899253)). I also need something that can hold a 15 inch laptop.

Suggestions for other brands or models that suit us bigger-bodied folk are appreciated. Or if you have experience with one of these travel bags from Topo. Thanks!

* Constraints: close to (but under) 25,26L. Really, the main constraint is that I find backpacks that are &gt; 18.5" tall usually look too big on me. Also, at this point in my life I mostly not doing multi-week backpacking travel anymore, and if I really need to one-bag/backpack a larger load (30+L) then I have an Osprey \~40L pack that I can easily under pack and compress

* Oppose This Invisible Carryon: almost looks perfect (functions and aesthetic-wise), but doesn't seem to be in stock/available

* Setout Laptop: also looks pretty nice, but again would prefer black, and their marketing materials make it look so bulky

 So, if you're going to be riding your bike or something like that at night, it gives you a little bit of extra visibility. I like on this bag. It has more of a professional vibe, and you can see here that we have the compression straps down here at the bottom. So that's going to make the bag smaller, make it a little skinnier and give it a more professional look and i've got it pretty fully packed out just to show you how much we can get inside, but it really helps to thin it down if you'd, like So yeah just compression buckles here, just some duraflex hardware, if you like that uh you have elastic keepers here to manage the straps, which is really important for a bag

 When you have your bag on one shoulder strap on the move, you can access your exterior pocket, grab things like your wallet or whatever you need to in a pinch, and you have quick access for your laptop as well on the interior of the bag. You access this by opening up this one simple, easy buckle. We have plenty of storage space for things like bike, helmet, jacket, whatever you need throughout the day. Great organizational area here slash pockets for your cell phone, business cards, pens, whatever you need to stay and keep organized

 The front zippered compartment is really the only separation from the deep dark bucket of the main compartment. The pen organization mentioned in the description does not work well, as it's attached to the side with the laptop sleeve, and is very flimsy. One of the pockets is too small for me to get my hand into to reach the bottom. I've taken to carrying a smaller zippered pouch inside my backpack for small items (gum, lipstick, etc), so they don't end up lost on the bottom of the bag and smooshed

Well-made, but could use more organization

 I think I speak for a lot of owners that if the build quality was improved, I would gladly pay more money for it. It's a really nice bag. But it's just not durable to handle the 5 days a week, heavy commute.
