If you find yourself constantly surrounded by devices, the Logitech K780 sounds like a good option for you. At first glance, it looks like a larger version of the Logitech K380, but it does have some noticeable differences that make it better suited to a more permanent multi-device setup. As it's a full-size keyboard, it has a full Numpad and function keys, so it's great if you frequently work with spreadsheets or numeric data entry.

It has a tray in the back with a soft, grippy covering to keep your tablet and phone right in front of you. This tray also adds some heft to the board, and it keeps it firmly in place on your work surface. Just under this tray, along the top row, there's a row of function keys, and the F1-F3 buttons act as device pairing buttons, so you can easily switch from your PC to your tablet in the tray with a single push. 

Unfortunately, this keyboard doesn't have any backlighting, so you'll have to rely on the glow of whatever device you have in the tray to see your keys. Also, you can't customize the keyboard very thoroughly as your options for key remapping are limited to functions depending on the applications you use. Despite these downsides, this is still a good choice if you're looking for one keyboard to use with many devices at once.

If you're looking for a budget-friendly keyboard to use with your Mac devices, the best budget keyboard that we've tested is the Logitech K780. This full-size keyboard also has a plastic stand built into the back to hold your iPad, iPhone, or other mobile devices. Overall, its slim design looks and feels similar to the popular Logitech MX Keys, but it's significantly cheaper.

This keyboard connects wirelessly using a Bluetooth connection and supports multi-device pairing with up to three devices simultaneously. You can swap between these devices at the press of a button, so you won't have to worry about disrupting your workflow. You also won't have to worry about cable management, as it uses two AAA batteries for power, and Logitech advertises a battery life of 24 months before needing to change them out.

Unfortunately, its customization is limited to a few preset commands from a drop-down list, so you can't program macros or remap keys. It also lacks backlighting, so your key legends will be hard to read in a dark environment. The best budget keyboard for typing is the Logitech K780. It's a very good office keyboard similar in features to the Logitech ERGO K860 Wireless Split Keyboard, but with a different design. It's a full-size model with a unique cradle to hold your mobile devices, which is great if you use your tablet or phone while typing in front of the computer.

It has multi-device pairing with three devices at once, either through Bluetooth or its proprietary receiver, and switching between each device is easy with the press of a button. Typing also feels great because the keys are well-spaced out, stable, and they have a short pre-travel distance. Despite not having any incline settings or wrist rest, you shouldn't feel any fatigue during long typing sessions.

Sadly, its typing quality is just decent, and it doesn't feel as well-built because the keys feel cheap, but that's also somewhat expected for a budget-friendly keyboard. It's considered full-size, but it doesn't have a navigation cluster like most other keyboards, so some function keys like Home and End are hotkeys. Overall, if you don't want to spend too much, it's one of the best budget keyboards we've tested.

The best quiet office keyboard that we've tested is the Logitech K780. This office keyboard is very quiet to use thanks to its scissor switches, which are quieter than mechanical switches, so you don't have to worry about disrupting your coworkers at the office. Although it doesn't have a wrist rest or incline settings, it's comfortable to use because of its low profile.

Although customization is limited, you can still use the Logitech Options software to reprogram a few function keys to a preset list of commands. It makes it easier to open your productivity apps during work. Every key works as intended on the common desktop and mobile operating systems, but the software is only available on Windows and macOS. It's fairly well-built with a solid plastic frame, and it also has a stand built into the back of the board where you can put your mobile device for easy access or visibility.

Unfortunately, it doesn't have backlighting, which is disappointing if you want to use it in a dark environment as you can't see the keys very clearly. It also uses disposable batteries instead of a rechargeable one, which isn't ideal for on-the-go use, but the disposable batteries should last a while. All in all, it's a comfortable board designed for productivity, and it's quiet enough to use anywhere.

If you're planning on using your iPad as part of a larger, multi-device setup, you may want a more permanent solution at your desk. The Logitech K780 is an excellent choice for a wireless, standalone keyboard to use with your iPad. Along the back, there's a tray with a grippy rubber coating to hold your devices. The tray runs the whole length of the keyboard, so you can easily hold an iPad and a smaller mobile device, and the tray provides a slight tilt, so their screens stay at a nice, visible angle. It connects wirelessly with up to three devices using a Bluetooth connection, and you can switch between devices using the F1-F3 function keys.

Since it uses two AA batteries for power with an advertised battery life of 24 months, you don't have to worry about charging cables or a frequently empty battery. The typing experience feels satisfying thanks to the well-spaced keys, rounded keycaps, and low-profile design. Alternatively, if you don't want a full-size unit, as you plan on bringing your iPad around with you to cafes, libraries, or other tight working spaces, check out the Logitech K380. As a compact unit, it's much more portable, but it doesn't have a device tray or stand for your iPad, so you'll have to get a separate case for your iPad or get creative in how you prop it up.

I love the idea of having a wireless keyboard at an affordable price point that is hotswap with good build quality to boot. I think this board is a good transition point from a traditional gaming keyboard into something more luxurious and fits the needs of both enthusiasts and people starting their journey into the keyboard scene at a price point that is surprising to the buyer.

 Nice feel, heavy and it’s got a great tablet or phone stand incorporated into it. The only thing I haven’t found on it that I miss is a caps lock light. Love this keyboard

 The keyboard will be practically not used for games at all, it will be used mainly for programming. It would be good if it had a numerical part on the right side (standard) but it is not necessary - it may be tiny/compact. I love the sound of "clicking" but not too much, it shouldn't work like AK47. I am a programmer and I need a comfortable keyboard that I could pack in my backpack
