It did not come with the 200PL-PRO Quick Release Plate or the dust cap for the Easy Link mount. I want to start making a Documentary Series but Do not know what equipment to buy.

I bought this tripod for a trip to Iceland. It was cold and wet there plus we were around a lot of ice, rain and sand. I experienced a lot of problems with the release plate on multiple occasions. I do not know if the metal expanded because of the cold or what but I struggled to get the plate to release which is frustrating when you are trying to change out lenses which were attached

Mixed thoughts

I bought a Manfrotto befree aluminum years ago to be cheap and because it’s still light compared to the carbon version. This is my travel setup to complement an old Manfrotto heavy duty deal. It’s held up really well for quite a while and holds heavier gear than I would have thought possible.

 When in place it's tightly contained. The carry bag is perfect as I can just sling it over my shoulder or backpack.

 I love the quick clip leg sections and I can bend them in any direction which I have done on the waterfall trails with rocks. It's been in water, dropped and treated like it's heavily used and it stands up to the Manfrotto name. The quick release shoe is so nice. It's still a little stiff and that's good

Great travel tripod

Manfrotto Element MII Series at Beautiful Lake Powell, Utah ...

The 32mm is great for headshots and some pseudo macro photography and the image quality is comparable to my most expensive Sony lenses worth four times more.

I wanted to see if any of you have recs for a really powerful point and shoot camera? Or just a tiny camera with a solid retractable lens? I have been considering buying the Sony a7iii or the new Canon, but upon holding them both, realized I am really looking for something small enough to have with me all the time. I think either of these cameras could maybe fit the bill with a small prime lens, but I don't want to be limited to the fixed length. They are both also quite bit more than I would ideally be spending.

Back in like 2009/10/11 I had the canon G9 and then G12 and I absolutely loved them. I felt like they produced higher quality images than the consumer point and shoots of the time (people weren't really using iPhones for everything at this point) but without the bulk of the DSLRs that were becoming popular. And it was small enough to have with me all the time. And I found the little retractable lenses on them to be beautiful.

I am looking for the contemporary version of this. I am not sure if there is even something like this that exists, or if it is just the iPhone 11/12's now. I have not upgraded so haven't tested out the 3 cameras. It is primarily for stills, but passable video quality would be nice.

I would be very grateful for any ideas on cameras or advice! Or if anyone has experience with the Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III, as that looks like the most current in this line. Though I don't know how it holds up to its predecessors.

Professional grade point and shoot?

the canon 4000D is a joke, its old tech crippled and remarketed, you can get a better camera for the same price such as a canon 60D or 650D however, the m50 mii is miles better than the two cameras, only thing you are missing out on is battery life and all the advantages is on justthegrimm's comment. i suggest you splash for the m50, dont have budget? save alittle more, its really worth all that money, plus overall its a smaller kit and effortless to carry around and shoot with

 How do I explain this? Some other monopods that I have used have had some type of tapered threaded lock thing at the bottom, and you can tighten that down to keep the monopod plumb. There's nothing like that here, but in using this monopod, I didn't miss having those options. I've been using this since it showed up about a month or so ago, and I've come to the conclusion that it does what it's designed to do, and it does it very well. And that's what I think is important to take away from this
