With the straw opening, we expected the Tronco to be prone to spills. Instead, it proved to be one of the most secure of all types due to the sealed silicone ring. We were a bit concerned about the durability of the glass at first, but the glass is thick, and the sleeve kept it protected and intact throughout our testing period, even with a few short drops.

Why design an ultralight dromedary and use the same, big, honking, heavy screw top? And please tell me why MSR has put a string on the small, pop-top screw top (that screws on the big screw top). I know it's supposed to be a keeper, so you won't lose the small top. But it makes unscrewing it a ninja finger move to keep the string from getting in the way. We cut the annoying string off immediately lest we go insane asking ourselves why?
