I got a air540 which was ahead of its time. Ive owned 5 cases now. 2 of those being h510 different colors, also owned the 680x, the 500dx, but THIS got my 3950x which ran 60 celsius before, to 36 celsius! It didnt start a week ago switching, because the mobo broke, but now it works. (Spex in desc)

Not a bad card, limited overclocking

Updated March 2021 review: This card has lasted me over a year, and it's still going strong. It's not a bad card at all, for the price I paid; I paid $300 for it in Feb 2020 - very good timing, phew! The card's voltage is locked by the BIOS, so it can't be pushed past 100% in Afterburner, therefore the card's overclocking capability is definitely limited, but I was able to get a little overclock on it; GPU +120 MHz for my DX11 applications, but I have to drop it down to +60 MHz for more demanding DX12 applications; Memory, I keep as +600. Still, not a bad card for the price I paid. It will last me a while

Go with a RTX 30 Series GPU

While it's a fair and considerable upgrade from a GTX, I would much rather have a RTX that can handle raytracing without upscaling. ★Problems★ Because of its two-slot design, the heatsink doesn't disperse as much heat as its three-slot predecessor, and so it heats up more. Without a doubt, it would struggle to stay cool in PC cases with poor airflow or were too small. The GPU's fan curve seems to max at 85%, so you will need EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner to allow 100% fan speed
