Battery life also seems to be decent - especially if you turn off the high 120hz refresh rate (I'm not bothered by 60hz) and do a little bit of tuning to maximize battery life.

Battery life is mediocre while the phone is being actively used. Under screen fingerprint reader is harder and more awkward than a read fingerprint reader (although it does have the small benefit of being accessible while the phone is laying down). Samsung's UI has a few issues that imo make it worse (noticeably app search on their launcher is often incredibly slow). Screen, camera, and computing power are all great, but don't make up for what the issues I think make a mediocre experience when paying a premium over a midrange device

Last October, I decided to trade in my Pixel 4 for a Galaxy S20 FE thinking that it would be a faster more enjoyable phone, and also I had battery issues with the 4. Sure the phone felt quick and snappy at the beginning but after a couple months, the phone was feeling very sluggish. My wife is now using my previous A50 model and is very satisfied. Previously all the Samsungs were the S series. I have never cracked a screen that I recall and that makes me believe they are sturdy.

Software experience has been mostly good, though has aged very well with updates. Android 12 on this phone feels quick and stable. I used to experience the occasional freeze-up but I honestly can't remember the last time that happened. Worth noting that I've never factory reset it since I got it, so maybe I'll do that in the coming weeks, though I don't think it even needs it
