 It is important to mention that this is a scooter not a dirt bike or motorcycle and requires a smooth and easy sidewalk surfer state of mind when riding it. Xiaomi you have amazed me once again, hats off to your engineers.

First world quality, craftsmanship and engineering

 Brakes work great and lights and bell are good safety features. My advice, just slow down when ever you see anything moving, people, cars, animals, anything because they don't know how to react to a person standing up and moving so fast. Be safe.

 Did three range tests in past two days on a bike trail in the forest preserves. This is extremely hilly conditions and I am 190lbs. Had in high speed on first trip and got 10 miles with 20% battery left. Average speed of 14 mph and top speed of 18

 I personally think the scooter looks quite nice, even if the menu reflectors that are necessary to make it street legal in Europe do make the design a bit less sleek. Like most electric scooters, the batteries are sealed inside the deck with the motor inside the front wheel. This scooter does have pneumatic tires that should technically help to dampen the riot, but because there is no suspension and the wheels are so small, cobblestone streets or bumpy dirt roads are not the best experience. Electric scooters really only feel at home on pavement

 The 1s is the successor to Xiaomi's widely popular M365 that also a lot of sharing companies use, and it doesn't look too different. There's also a higher end version of this scooter called the 2 Pro that has a little bit more power in range and is about 30 percent more expensive.
