It’s gone on quite a few day hikes with me and works great. Not so big that there’s a ton of extra room and weight, but just right for the day. I do wish the zipper opened it up a little more, but other than that I love the bag.

Evergoods says they're made to do this: go from the office to the mountains. Their bags even have shoulder strap pass thru's for a water bladder tube! But as much as i love my CHZ22, without a breathable mesh back, i'd be hard pressed to take it on a long hike. On warmer days, its definitely not been the most cooling back there.
