The Accutire MS-4021 Digital wasn't the nicest looking gauge in the test, but it gets the job done right more often than any other model we tested. Its ergonomic shape places the driving force of your thumb in line with the tire valve for a consistently accurate reading. The rubber-coated handle is pleasant to the touch and comfortable for a range of hand sizes. The display freezes on your pressure reading, so you don't have to scramble to get a good look at it. The Accutire is accurate to 0.5 PSI, and you can calibrate it at any time. It even works at a lower temperature than most digital gauges, operating from 14 to 122-degrees Fahrenheit. 
The digital display is a reasonable size, but it can still be hard on the eyes. You usually have to pull it away from the tire and angle the rose-colored LCD toward you to read it. Cycling through unit options is also tricky. You have to press and hold the "wake up" button below the valve for several seconds. The Accutire is very lightweight, but this makes it seem cheap. And, when it dies, the three alkaline LR44 1.5V coin batteries are a bit of a pain to switch out. Still, this is our favorite gauge in the review and the best option for most folks' glove boxes.

  Final Thoughts I’m not sure how significant a one-half pound difference is; I like both gauges. I can recommend both but I prefer the MS-4350B. The MS-4350B has the grip and feel I like and it uses replaceable CR2032 batteries. I like the idea of the one-LED flashlight but I’m not sure how useful that will be…but I still like that it’s there

  MS-4350B The MS-430B gauge has a blue-backlit LCD digital display and can measure tire pressure from 5 to 99 psi (less than the 150 psi the MS-4021B can measure).  This gauge uses 2 replaceable CR2032 batteries. (I don’t know if there is one under the display like in the MS-4021B.)  The grip design is very nice with a place for me to place my thumb and press the gauge into the tire valve stem

 So it tells you that I need to put the front and the rear to 33 psi for both. Now if I need to put more air this is the unit that I'm using. This is the Craftsman portable air inflator. It does come with a setting in here that I can set the max psi and so I just have to go ahead and turn on the unit right there and I can go ahead and set

 The handle right here is very smooth. It is battery operated and it does come with the battery. This right here is where you put your thumb right here and the button to turn it on is up here and so when you turn it on you can cycle through all the different measurements. So right now it's at PSI that's what I want so I'm going to hold and it's going to go ahead and change to different measurements

When I reinserted the batteries, I cut a small, very thin piece of plastic and slipped it underneath the batteries so that they could be removed easier the next time. This is the second digital tire pressure gauge I have bought in the past month, and the third total. This gauge is the best of the 3.

 You never know when a digital gauge will just not work because it is too cold or the batteries died or it got too hot and the batteries exploded. As a result, I keep both this gauge and a mechanical analog gauge (a pencil gauge) in my car at all times.

Works pretty well

 I was about to throw it away, but I looked at it one more time. I unscrewed the plastic part that pushes onto the tire valve and used a tiny screwdriver to turn the screw back and forth and returned to the original position (didn't want to change in case this is important). There is a small doughnut shaped rubber gasket that moves. I also used the same small screwdriver to very lightly touch the part the gasket moves toward under pressure

for those who experience "stopped working"

  - It uses LR44 alkaline batteries, which are not only an oddball battery, but also don't last terribly long. Expect to replace them ever 3 years or so, even with light use. Because the shelf life of alkaline batteries is also about 3 years, it's hard to keep them in reserve.
